When conceding first, we have won the following points in those games:

    12/13 season - 16 out of 42 points.

    13/14 season - 12 out of 30 points.

    14/15 season - 4 out of 33 points.

Rodgers has taken charge of 156 PL games and we have kept 53 clean sheets.

We conceded 1.25 goal per game but removing those clean sheets, we are conceding 2 goals per game.

So 1 in 3 games, we're not conceding but then conceding 4 in the other 2 games.

    Context behind those shocking stats:

His average of goals conceded is 48 goals.

Only 2 teams in the last 10 years have finished in top 4 when conceding more than 43 goals.

Bumping this because it needs to be seen. We have a clueless manager.

    Best thing I read today:

No manager that polarises the fanbase like this should be allowed to remain manager. He's supposed to unite the fanbase, not divide it.

Now giving away youngsters like Ilori with an option to buy at the end, without giving him a chance.

    The man is a poison.

Fixed - to avoid causing further offence.

Point remains - this man is single handedly destroying a lot of good work this club has done in recruiting good quality players.

    Fair enough Jimmy.

I still think you're exaggerating every little thing based on your obvious dislike for the man. I mean you're making it sound like illori is the next WC centreback. Based on what?

As for this BR has his favourites? What manager doesn't? And if you are right and he and his choices are so mediocre will it not speed up his ultimate failure and you get rid of him quicker. From Al your posts over the last couple of months it doesn't sound like anything BR will do will make you happy so is this not the best scenario for you?

i am more pissed off we keep wasting money on youngsters and dont fecking play them then eventually get rid.

money we could have spent better on the now, not the future that never seems to ruddy happen, dont care who the manager is.

Yep its a problem. I can live with the idea of buying for the future IF we actually follow through with it. We pay big for these players only to give up after 1 season. This isn't a Lallana or Lovren who are both in the mid-20s and should be ready for now, this is players who are 21 and under and need time to grow and settle.
The owners seem to have liked the idea of building for the future a couple of seasons ago and now its like they've realised they need the money of success now.

Well I haven't bothered counting it up to see if we've been making a profit but I thought this was part of FSG philosophy and is based on American sport. Grab a whole load of youngsters and sell them on for a profit. Over the last two years I've heard name after name going into our reserve's but have never believed half of them would ever play for our first team.

Would be interesting if someone knew if this was officially policy and how much profit we've made on it. Is it enough to take a big chunk out of the first team annual wage bill for example?

And as for now blaming Rodgers on splitting the fans like some diabolical plan. Fans all have brains and opinions of their own.

This sounds very much like a back door way of saying those that are backing Rodgers are somehow being fooled and they aren't smart enough to see it.

Viewing fellow fans like that is much more devisive than simply disagreeing on our progress or future progress.

In other words Rodgers isn't responsible for other fans disagreeing with you either partially or completely.

I saw all this with the last year of Kenny. Fans disrespecting each other rather than just accepting they could simply disagree.

Ilori is a massive talent that came out a world renowned academy. Has since played (and played well) against the likes of Messi, Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic, as well as being part of a promising u21 team which got to the finals in the summer.

My issue is that rather than give him a chance, we still persist with dross like Skrtel and Lovren whilst giving Toure another contract.

We fought long and hard, and spent a considerable amount of money on trying to get him to come to Liverpool. Now we want to give him away without giving him an opportunity. Fair enough if the lad failed in his stints in Spain and France or completely bombed at the u21 championship but he hasn't. Why has an 18 year old Championship player been given a chance straight away (based on a preseason games against pub standard teams) but we're quick to get rid of Ilori?

And your right - managers do have favourites. But these favourites tend to be the best and most important players at the club. As much as I want Rodgers out ASAP, it pains me to see this man continue to play the worst players, marginalise the best players and get rid of talented youngsters. The only times he has been successful at Liverpool is when he's been forced into changes.

You're right - Rodgers will not make me happy. Why? Because he's had 3 years to show progress whilst spening over £200m in doing so. And he continues to make the same mistakes.

So if we get fourth (I know I know; you'll say fat chance lol) but if we do get fourth this will make you unhappy? I mean if he grabs fourth it'll probably be enough to keep FSG happy for one more year.
