    I was listening last night on talks81te he was waxing lyrical about The Swans how we are a '' shining Light '' in the EPL . The man has taste !

    Because it's not the BPL. The Swans play in the English pyramid system and as you say Lib most people around the world consider it the English Premiership.

    It's not the English pyramid system though, it's just the pyramid system as Welsh clubs play in this system.

    But we are getting away from the topic, I don't think it's relevant here, by all means create a thread about it if you wish

    YUP ! Last I looked we're still fourth in whatever, which means , ( hopefully ) sh!t loads of monet come the end of the season ! Yes I know what I said but just returned from a very nice Bistro and a couple of boites de Sav Blanc so I'm in a bit of a French mood ce soir mes amis ! Hic ( I don't know the French for that tho' ) .

    I disagree. It's the pyramid system in England ergo it's the English pyramid in most people's book. Weren't Welsh clubs invited as opposed to having a right to join? Whether anyone likes it or not it's referred to as the EPL with some justification.

    But you're right on the relevance point - thanks for your permission to create a thread but I'll pass. Maybe somebody else who actually cares will do so. <ok>

    But the premier league is just 20 clubs, the rest of the league system is 72 clubs, and the entire league pyramid covers well over 100 clubs.

    It's never been the English Premier League, it's never been the English Pyramid, it's never been English League. No matter what it's commonly known as by some people, the facts do not actually back that up.
