Of course many supporters were not happy when your recent favourites replaced home grown players and a home grown manager.

You might be complaining in the future when today's bunch get moved on!!!

I think I should have known when the first wave came in under the Pozzos.

Now in the Prem, more recruits drafted in, not sure if it is tidal or tsunami sized one this time round.

The youth academy must be wondering.

Besides we are part of the biggest scouting (was going to type ring! lol but that would be creepy) NETWORK now.

Watford F.C. will never be the same I guess, we have to change with the time.

P.S. More of these signings must work that the first wave, please!!!!!

Yeah big IF indeed, anyways, have a look at these - http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/130620-transfers-and-signings-1213-874727.aspx and http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/130601-transfers-signings-201314-877020.aspx and http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/140601-transfers-and-signings-1415-1653322.aspx AND most recently http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/150601-watford-fc-transfers-and-signings-201516-2532654.aspx but as many ins as outs really. We are like a merry-go-round compared to pre pozzo times!

Do you mean the good old days when we signed a player for £75k + a packet of crisps?

Whatever else we may think the Pozzo's have set their stall out and have backed QSF to the hilt as we should expect. Mixed feelings on letting Angella, Layun and Vydra go but they are all on loan and if the Pozzo's decide they have chosen the wrong man afterall then there is scope for them to come back. Staggered that Angella has gone though, I would have thought he would have been first choice cover for Prodl (must find the rich text editor to get the umlaut in there) and Cathcart. Obviously not. Vydra is obviously not cutting the mustard in training. Welcome back AG!!! In for Layun I would suggest?

    Why would Matěj cut mustard?

Umlaut for o is Alt+0246 and O is Alt+0214 ö Ö or on a laptop Fn+Alt+0246 and Fn+Alt+0214 or for me is the key next to 0 with shift, some have a funtion on the O key or between L and Æ.

Seems as if the Pozzos have done quite a deal over Vydra.

"Reading have paid Watford a £2.5million loan fee, a payment which matches the record transfer fee they spent on Emerse Fae in 2007. They are also picking up the wages he agreed as part of the five-year contract he signed with Watford at the end of June. Should the ambitious Royals achieve promotion to the Premier League then Vydra will move permanently to the Madejski Stadium for an agreed fee of £10million."

It doesn't say what will happen if they don't achieve promotion.

Clever people these Pozzos. 20+ years of doing football deals helps tremendously.

To "cut the mustard" basically means "to meet expectations". :emoticon-0148-yes:

Thanks for the tip, I have these written down somewhere.

With the transfer window now closed, looking at the squad, how long before Deeney is dropped?

The Pozzo model does not allow for player sentiment does it? :(

Funny... I have been wondering that... given that he has been isolated in games and not had the qualities in my mind to be a sole pacy strong striker. He played a good defensive game at Man City... but that is not the point :emoticon-0138-think

I was thinking just the same. We didn't have a back-up for Troy, not similar anyway, and needed one, but it may end Troy is a back up to the new Belgian giant.

As long as we improve the team it is OK with me. It will be an interesting ride!
