Can we still do loans? Doesn't the loan thing work a different timetable? Or is that non-prem? Emergency loan? We could still get berba couldn't we?
Ha, the first. But if he's signed it Jeremy Peace we may have dodged a bullet as he's clearly a nutcase. One other alternative that makes no sense. Jeremy Peace wrote it and Saido is actually locked up somewhere.
What are the chances that we go for a free agent? Did villa get berbatov cos I think he was a free agent.
I tell you what, this is going to be a real testing six months. We've strengthened Everton who have kept their solid players. West Ham are building a squad to be reckoned with and are already in winning ways. Southampton are looking solid and still have a threatening strike force. Liverpool have spent like there is no tomorrow, and have serious options. If Poch manages to get us anywhere near the top five within the next six months, I'll be very impressed. I know Chelsea and Man U haven't been in their top form, so we still stand a chance, but they clearly have the tools to find form.
Based on what Peace just said I hope we never want another West Brom player because we've pissed him off
Can't do loans. We can sign unemployed players - so Kevin Nolan is up for grabs still. Is Berbatov without a club?
Disappointing end to the window for us. Great start with the defensive additions. N'Jie and Son signings got us excited due to having what should be pace out wide. But lack of a true striker could really damage us. Kane has already looked ****ed from a long 14-15 season without much of a break and now we need to rely solely on him up top. Hopefully N'Jie will be able to fill in well enough as a number 9 when/ if needed. Berbatov and Cassano are available on free transfers, it really may be worth trying to bring one or both in, even if until January, just to have that cover for Kane.
Still nothing official on Lennon. It's so, so sad that the last 3 windows have ended with people hoping to bring in Berbatov on a loan/free. I'd be fine with him coming in and I'm sure his experience would be tremendously valuable on the training ground. But it's just so, so sad.
Wow, if there's any truth to this story I'd be amazed considering how thread bare our strike-force is, but... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ing-100-000-week-contract-mutual-consent.html Ade must be so out of favour, they clearly just want shot of him. What a sorry mess this latter half of the transfer window has been.
