There seems to be a suggestion going round that we'd agreed WBA's price but that they were not happy with Levy's offer to stagger the payments, and with both chairman seeming to lock horns, the deal fell through. Two thoughts spring to my mind... (1) If Levy didn't really want Berahino, why the **** didn't he go for a player that he did want and just paying the money? (2) If Levy did want Berahino, why the **** didn't he just pay the money? Either way, I cannot see that Levy has done the club any favours in the way he's dealt with this entire issue.
I can't see that happening. Ade seems to be one of those people who, if you **** him off, he stays ****ed off for ever. And if he does come back, is he really prepared to work hard for the squad, as opposed to simply doing what he's always done, which is doing what the **** he wants to suit himself?
Yeah, I saw that. However, I am assuming that WBA told Levy, "Yeah, you can have him, but we want the cash up front!" and Levy either didn't want to do that, or couldn't raise the cash in time.
He will want to get a contract for next year. It's in his interest to perform. At the moment I'm not sure who would want him next season, and no one is going to subsidise his wages.
I confess, I have never understood anything about Adebayor's attitude. It's as though he doesn't even like football.
Wouldn't have minded Ade on loan as he tends to hit the ground running and could be sent back when he turned into his usual malignant self, but when I kep hearing his name and West Ham after we filled our two EPL loans I was starting to get worried. Thankfully, he's still with you.
I am genuinely surprised we have decided to not get a striker. I get the experiment with Dier as a defensive midfielder but Njie and son are not out and out strikers who can play upfront on their own. I really hope it doesn't ruin our season but I can't see how it won't do exactly that
I'm not even sure adebayor has the desire to play football anymore, he can't have. I don't want to see him in a spurs kit again, I would rather play someone from the youth team.
I think its a near certainty that he will get injuries, he looks tired from a poorly designed pre season and starts every match even after coming off and holding ice to his hamstring as happened v stoke
We'll do well to finish top half this season now I think. Poch, through no fault of his own, will likely be gone by the new year.
