Lennon to Everton is close - £4.5m according to Sky That will lead to us breaking even this window - give or take £1-2m
Wonder why he can't say exactly either? If he's burning bridges why not burn the whole thing down rather than just weaken the supporting structure?
Maybe they've locked him in the basement until the transfer window's shut and they won't let him out if he mentions it?
It is a surprising reaction. Even Modric didn't go public like that. Makes you wonder what was said. Until I know that something was promised though, you have to say hats off to Peace for standing firm. I think we are in trouble though.
The window drags out for hours if deals are in place, but not completed. Or something. Sky has to have some way of keeping people watching, doesn't it?
In a sadistic way, I almost hope Kane gets injured for the season just to shove Levy's face in it - "you see what you've done!" sort of thing.
It's a massive show of desperation from berahino to say something like that is ridiculous, any one of us would dream to be in his position and play football for a living, talk about first world problems.
I'd normally agree and I'm still expecting this to be an entitled football throwing his toys out of the pram, but what Pulis said struck me as odd. The whole thing about a player being treated as a piece of meat was pretty strange, especially when it's his own player.
Still no news on Lennon or Adebayor moving out. Desperate times call for desperate measures - imo Pochettino and Levy have a responsibility to rebuild all bridges with them instead of allowing 2 quality players who can do a job for us wallow away on the sidelines.
Berahino , if we'd signed him and he had a great season, would be doing this to us to get his dream move to city/chelsea/united/real etc. Last year Schneiderlin did a similar thing cos he wanted to join us...did he bollocks ... this summer he signed for united I do not want these type of players at spurs
Assuming Lennon and, possibly, Adebayor go, I hope Levy is happy with net profit because that's what we'll have
It's an interesting thought on Adebayor. He is out of contract next year, so into his purple patch. I wonder if things can be patched up - at least until January to get us through the issue of having 1 striker?
