Look at Liverpool sides of the past including Rafa's - Henderson wouldn't even be the 6th choice for captaincy.

Using Rafa's team - Reina, Agger, Carragher, Alonso, Mascherano, Gerrard were proper leaders and quality in their roles.

I agree but BR got rid of all the obvious captain material including four of those you named, so it was the best of a poor bunch and as I said, I'm okay with it. I keep this picture in my mind when the subject crops up and it helps <laugh>

Yep, not disputing that henderson is the best of the bad bunch.

Just highlighting that this is how far we have fallen to be in this position in the first place. <ok>

And that a great moment! <laugh>

And now Man U have Rooney as there captain. Teams unfortunately go through periods of time where they don't have the luxury of having five perfect captains playing at a club.

Henderson can lead the team well and is passionate about the club.

It's a shame he wasn't successful in that case.

Got to agree with Jimmy,Henderson is mediocre at best and I don't see any leader qualities in him unless running around like Forest Gump is a quality.:emoticon-0138-think

Lol I wouldn't go that far. I think he's a good utility player in a top 4 squad. Basically what Milner was for City.

Would love to keep him in the squad but he's not captain material and he shouldn't be starting.

I remember all those spooky signs in 2005 about us winning the European Cup.

  15. Two ways of looking at that. The obvious one in that, we don't fight and regain as many points as before or, we don't concede first as often as before

    Another was is 42÷3=14 games

    30÷3 = 10

    33÷3=11

All this really says is we were really really **** last year

We concede first in a third of games.... ok what does that really tell us?
