Interested to know how being 1in 3 (it's more like 1 in 2.6 but let's let you have your complaint...) over 400 games is anything but a fantastic record for a striker.

When you go to 1 in 2 (not many of them...) you are talking £30 million plus and elite Euro clubs.

Utterly ridiculous to try and make a 1 in 3 (or 2.6) striker inadequate for a club at our level, it's actual a very good thing.

I wondered what Micky Horswill did in 'that' team, 'cos he wasn't a very good footballer, in my opinion :emoticon-0138-think . . . . then I learned about football, and understood . . . . and he has a nice medal :emoticon-0100-smile

I'm not saying that Rodders is brilliant, or even very good, but I understand that some 'invisible' players can still 'do their bit' and I trust Big Dick :emoticon-0105-wink:
I also believe that Rodders has the potential to become a very good player, by the way :emoticon-0131-angel

Glad you can see something I can't mate. I remain to be convinced by Rodders.

As for potential, he seems to have been around for ever already (not just with us), so if he's gonna fulfil potential then its long overdue.

Maybe I'm being a little harsh on the lad. I just remember being over the moon when we signed him but he just hasn't lived up to my expectations. Thats not his fault I guess.

He has ability we already seen that at Everton, what he's lacking is belief from the injury and time at City.

When we play lower league oppo he steps up, that's him believing he's better than them, we need to work with him off the park and get him to believe he is better than players in the PL, then he will impose himself on the game.

I believe the freedom afforded to him by the brilliant M'Vila could really bring him back along, I hope so anyway.

There's an option in place fella. His parent club don't want him. Not sure how much it is though

M'Vila is with the option to buy.

How about LB Sam Byram from Leeds? Buckley going the other way.

<yikes> that's 12 goals a season? What more do you want? In the last 3 seasons only £30m + players have scored 15+! Aguero, Suarez, Bony , Lukaku etc. ten goals is a good return for an out of the top 5 or 6 striker. 1 in 3 is a very good return

Borini would struggle to bang them in for Liverpool as he was made to train alone by the ****er of a manager! I.e. He hasn't played!

Got 1 in 4 up to now.
4 in 30 odd seems poss to meta king free kicks like that.

Just out of curiosity who is our penalty taker now? Would imagine there will be three or four wanting to have a go.

He's only scored 5 in 205 competitive appearances that includes his goal for us. He might but I wouldn't count on it.

Haven't got a clue. Has to be Gomez if he's on the pitch, when he isn't I haven't got a clue.

Our strongest team for me is this:

    ------------------Pants-------------------

    Yedlin---o'Shea-----Kaboul----PVA

    -----------M'Vila------Catts--------
    ---------------Toivonen-------------

    Borini--------Defoe----------Lens

I'm confident that team can avoid relegation comfortably.

I'm happy with that. Pace, bit of quality and guile, good work rate. That's a decent team, certainly not a relegation team.

Hopefully we get to mid table by January and Ellis will back Dick again, properly.
