Not Man Utd related but I thought it might be of interest since a lot of people still keep an eye on Ronaldo since he left.

May only have been a pre-season match against average (at best) opposition but it was still a very good goal. If it had been Messi people would be ****ing off over it and falling over themselves with praise.

By the way Messi suffered another unsuccessful tournament with Argentina as they were knocked out of the Copa America yesterday. A further blow to those who try and claim that he is up there with Pele and Maradona.

It's true though. Just get sick of people constantly licking his ass and then those same people go silent when he flops or when Ronaldo out does him.

 

It was hardly a wonder goal. He scored plenty like that at United where he shimmied past a player and rifled it in. One of my favourites was against Dinamo Kyiv (back when we went on that run of scoring 4 or more goals for plenty of consecutive games- I'm sure there was some kind of record?), running down the left, cut back inside the defender and on the angle and hit it across the keeper.

 

Still a nice goal, would have been better if they'd shown it from a different angle though.

Baldie, Messi is the best player on the planet. Get over it.

 

He's not the Son of God like some people make out. The euphoria around him is quite pathetic at times and people tend to give Ronaldo a lot less credit even when he outdoes Messi (probably because of his Man Utd links).

For Barcelona yes. He is nowhere near the likes of Pele and Maradona like some people try and claim though and he doesn't play like the best player in the World when he plays for Argentina (i.e. without the likes of Xavi and Iniesta).

The ridiculous way some people try and lick his arse at any given opportunity whilst generally ignoring when he fails to perform or is outdone by Ronaldo makes me want to vomit.
