Very true that Soldado, Paulinho, and Lamela were mistakes. Although in Soldado's case, he was never suited to the system AVB wanted to play. Which beggars the question of why was he bought? However, Chadli was a good buy, and Eriksen at £8mill was £34mill less than Ozil.
Again, that's down to teamwork and is very rarely the result of one player's efforts. My point is that not all of the Bale money was wasted.

For **** sake, Lamela, Paulinho, Soldado & Ozil are all over-priced or overrated. Spurs over-spending on crap doesn't make Ozil's pretty weak contribution more worthwhile and Ozil trying to justify a £42m price tag with a few nice flicks before disappearing when the going gets tough doesn't make Spurs' **** buys any less ****.
