Who's losing it? Certainly not me. I'm laughing mate. The only one who takes this to the extreme is you. You're detached from reality. Ppl laugh at you on your own board so you dont need to be worryung about laughing at me. Everything I've said regarding this transfer window has been proved right...going all the way back to before July 1st when I told you we lacked any clear strategy. We signed an unknown 19 year old to carry our season ffs You can dress it up all you like but that's the top and bottom of it. Two weeks ago while I was arguing for a proven striker you were saying no. Why? Bcos Pedro was on the horizon. When that went tits up you pretended we didnt need him. Today you're now saying we DO need a striker Why? Bcos we bought one. And now you're arguing it's ok he's an unproven unknown. Why? Bcos that's who we've bought. You're a sheep.
It's very basic. Four strikers will have left, one, who none of us know anything about and is nineteen years old(let's remember how long it took Shaw to settle and he's English), has come in. It does not add up. We have to be signing someone else. If no one has signed by the time we wake up tomorrow then that person will be from within the premier league.
United didn't want to sell him but he wanted to leave and was on the last year of his contract. United has ****ed up by letting the contract run down but that was the best they could do out of a bad situation. Especially as United are getting a better than average GK. As to the equivalent of sanogo or whoever else, you have no ****ing way of knowing. None of us has heard if him. He could turn out to be bad but the likelihood is that he is better than Hernandez and welbeck.
We now need one as we've sold one and possibly loaned another. The rest of your post is as usual, bollocks
No but you make him stay and then make him play. He hasnt made any negative noises and you get another wc player for another season like pool did with suarez since money isnt an object. As for calling him the new sanogo, at the moment he is. He might not be but no one has heard of him, hes had 1 year of football in a far inferior league (same one as sanogo who is also big and athletic) and even in this poor league (a stick everyone uses to beat psg) he has an even worse record than sanogo so actually I'm already being nice. Difference being united are paying 36m for him and wenger paid like 1m
I'll take your word for it but Hernandez and Wekbeck were good strikers for us a few years back. If this new guy is significantly better then I can understand LVG going for him.
Why would you keep a player that doesn't want to stay and has only a year left on his contract? Your logic is lopsided! And you're actually comparing impact of Suarez to De Gea? Get real, son!
Lets see suarez did it. As for the length of the contract that doesnt matter as the only thing is a transfer fee which you guys dont see to mind blowing on an unknwon french youth player. And de gea is a massive upgrade on romero. As for comparing de gea to suarez , wasnt de gea crowned the best pl keeper last year ans single handedly kept you in the hunt in top 4 whilst your defence was a shambles. I remember most people thought that so yes his impact was suarez esque (maybe not quite so big) but he was an absolute key player
It's just wishful thinking on your part. He is a player that United apparently scouted and both arsenal and spurs were also interested in. Monaco turned down bids from Wenger and spurs and lower bids from United as they didn't want to sell. He could well turn out to be dud but it is more likely that he is a better player than what we had: Hernandez, Falcao Welbeck and even RVP (the current post injury one not the young) If LVG sold them and then bought him. I have more trust in LVG judgement than that of Brenda for example. If RS donkey cost £33m then we can take a punt on Martial.
He'll probably play him at left back knowing Van Gaal, this smacks of panic buy? United need striker 24 hours before window closes, Monaco say £36 million pus add-ons United say well nothing we can do about it we have to pay it. Weren't United haggling with Barcelona about Pedro's fee for about a couple of million? Well United could have bought Pedro 3 weeks before Chelsea bought him costly mistake as I think with Rooney, Pedro and Depay that would have been better then some teenager from France who cost way too much, this could be the costliest flop ever. But good luck to the lad, a dream move and he didn't set the price tag but something is seriously wrong with United's transfer policy really wrong.
So you at no stage thought we needed to replace RvP or Falcao. Nobody last season said this. So you've changed your tune bcos we sold the mighty Chicarita And you expect to be taken seriously??? And once again you can't face reality so come back with the "bullshit" comment
I don't know about Welbeck being a good striker. I think the romance with him had more to do with the fact that he is a local lad. But we needed more than he offered. He's still young though. So he should get better. Hernandez was a great substitute though. But not any more.
He may be unknown to you (he is to me), but I would like to think somebody at the club has identified him for some reason. I don't really think they have run their finger down a list of strikers and said "his name sounds good".
The official version was that LVG changed his mind at the last minute rather than haggling over a couple of millions. Now thinking about it. The prospect of Monaco losing in the CL and therefore releasing the player could have been a major factor in the change of mind. But we'll probably never know for sure.
Are you referring to De Gea in your first paragraph? If so United just got the equivalent of 50million euros for a player on a 12 month contract!
No mate, apparently it's sheer genius. Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, City, Real Madrid, Barcelona are looking at us with envy, mesmerised by the skill and wizardry of our £36m signing of an unknown they'd all been clambering after. BTW here's what Monaco's chairman and the rest of their board had to say when the deal was concluded... please log in to view this image
I suppose Monaco losing did speed up the transfer but it is mind boggling the fee, suppose we will see a few more eye watering transfers like this now clubs have the new Sky £5 billion pound cash to spend.
