But you've got to see it from our (non fan) view that it doesn't look much like a planned rebuild... He's spending more money replacing his own short term deadwood signings than the chaff he inherited from Fergie.
Two of them. One was a freebie. Not really the case is it? he's certainly cutting it this window. There's no question with the departures today, he's leaving us thing. There's still a day to go so let's see what happens. Would have been better if it could have happened earlier but hey, if clubs have been like we have with de gea then that's how its got to be.
De Bruyn = £56m sterling = £49m Benteke = £33m And THIS transfer makes a mockery of the premiership? It does not make a mockery it just CONFIRMS the madness. The law of supply and demand. A group of premiership clubs with huge income/windfall from TV broadcasting and a dwindling supply of truly outstanding players. Why do you think some very ordinary houses in London cost more than 1 million? I wouldn't call it mockery. Rather some redistribution of the premiership windfall to clubs in other leagues.
I'm definitely with Red. Fergie for all his glory did nothing to protect United's future. In fact, he left us in utter dire straits with terrible squad and topped it up by suggesting Moyes was the man for the job. Like seriously, wtf?? I personally like LVG's project. We lost this past weekend yet I wasn't left dejected. It was actually very entertaining. Just sucked to be on the receiving end. It's a joy watching Shaw and Darmain on tight right and also middle of the park. So overall, we have solid foundation now to push for better future and that is squarely down to LVG.
How long before most of the stars are playing in the premier league? Not many galactico signings going on with the big two in Spain this year. PL is slowly going to dominate with fees and wages over the next decade.
So in one statement you admit you know nothing of him then in the next immediately compare him to another player
On top of the money its definitely a tougher league than its been in a long time. Shocks are no longer shocks and almost anyone can beat anyone.
I actually think it would eventually implode on itself. This kind of crazy spending without governance is not sustainable. Look at what happened in Italy.
They werent getting 5billion pumped in though. As long as that continues it is unlikely to end. The £100m transfer isn't too far away. Its possible its already happened.
This is not really crazy spending. This is clubs spending their current windfall. The lowest premiership side earns more money than most of the bigger clubs of the other leagues except the Madrid, Barcelona juventus Bayern PSG and the likes. Reading the foreign papers, they all think that sooner or later all the best players will end up in the premiership. Real Barcelona and Bayern are doing their best to buck the trend. But if a fairer distribution of TV money comes in their advantage will be reduced.
Let's see what happens in the next economic downturn which is more or less long overdue. I don't think that 5bn would be guaranteed. Contracts would be torn up between sponsors and the league.
You never wanted Pedro apparently but have spunked a lot more on this lad who has an incredible senior goals to game ratio of 1 in 5 You're paying alot more than what we paid for Suarez, also more than what Arsenal paid for Sanchez, or Chelsea paid for Hazard...... But not desperate, UIR and RCSmith said so
How come your argument is that we have all the money in the world so it doesnt matter who we buy as long as he improves our team. Now you are selling de gea surely it should be united shouldnt be selling as it would weaken your team to let a wc keeper go irrespective how much you receive? My own views are this martial bloke is a terrible deal for the equivalent of sanogo and getting rid of de gea at that price is a fantastic deal for you guys.
Debateable. He got sacked from bayern when dortmund won the league against him which no one could ever have imagined
