thats the nice explanation. the other is he thought the wages were higher here and maybe he'd get to play a bit and get an italian move. Right nwo he's career is in shreds and he will be not ever an international again.
Its what is available now i guess... building for future and can buy in january if someone comes up. There no point buying a player who'd not up to it (badontelly) if nobody is available.
Liverpool biggest club in the world???. please log in to view this image Liverpool FC today completed the signing of Nigeria youth international Taiwo Awoniyi, who immediately heads out on loan to FSV Frankfurt. But first he spoke to Liverpoolfc.com about his privilege at joining the club. Congratulations on signing for Liverpool Football Club – how does it feel? Thank you. I feel great and very privileged. There was a lot of interest from other clubs around Europe. Why did you choose Liverpool? It is the biggest club in the world and I’m privileged to be here. I have lots of friends in England so I believe I can cope with switching over. I see myself being a good player here. For the supporters reading this now, how would you describe yourself as a player? I’m a striker and I love scoring goals. I love helping my team to victory. I assist a lot and I love scoring goals for my team. You’re heading out on loan now. What do you want to achieve over the next few months so that you’re ready when you come back to Liverpool? My aim on loan is to go there and try to develop myself very well so that when I come back to Liverpool I’ll be able to add value to the team. So when you do come back and we see you in a Liverpool shirt, what can we expect? When I am in the red shirt, I’ll always give my very best to make the fans happy. http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/192975-awoniyi-i-ll-try-to-develop-myself
another youth trafficked from africa.... worrying but i suppose at 18 he is big enough and old enough to make his choice and prob is getting well paid as well. we will see next year.
It's gone further than that. Apparently 40m euros (£29.3m) plus Navas. That's a pretty good deal tbf.
Not really, what do I care about the money. I've said that all along. I thought we could keep him for another year. But I'm happy we've at least got a decent goalie in return. Would have been knives out otherwise I've watched Navas in La Liga a couple of seasons ago and he reads the striker's movement and shots well and consistently makes decent saves as a result. Not in De Gea''s league though.
Real are morons if they shell out more than 20mil for him when they can get him for nothing next year
And on topic: with our lack of signings since benteke, I take it BR is happy that the shower that lost 3-0 on Saturday is up to the task of getting 4th?
There is a reprieve for Rodgers, he needs to get at least 3 points from our next two games away to Manchester United home to Aston Villa.
