I did, they cost me a tenner. Ah well, fair play to Rovers, it's not often an amateur club graces the Wembley turf.
I see they are proceeding with the parade of shame in queen Vicky square. They were showing highlights of the semi final when I walked past
Why any team would 'celebrate' what happened is just ludicrous, I doubt a single player would have turned up if they weren't contractually obliged to be there.
Complete waste of rate payers money. This free shindig should have been cancelled the second the final whistle blew on Saturday. HCC are forever whinging about being strapped for cash then blow god knows how much on this. What did they have to celebrate? What will they do if they get relegated? Give all council staff the week off on pay?
He's got a point, why you'd have a civic reception for the worst ever cup final defeat is beyond me. Fair play to those fans that turned out, it's always nice to see a show of support regardless of the result but the event shouldn't have gone ahead.
Get ****ed. As a ratepayer, ask your mother what one is, I have an interest what my money is spent on and a free piss up for a load of losers, councillors and their families isn't high on the list.
It wasn't just for that particular post, every time you post it's usually some ****ed up moan or other, usually relating to RL. My advice would be for you to join a Hull or Rovers forum, preferably both, it'll be good therapy for you, you'll meet lots of like minded folk on there that you can piss and moan with.
The parade was symptomatic of RL in general and in Hull RL fans in particular, in regards to a total joke of a sport. Delusional doesn't even begin to describe them. Thank **** this embarrassment wasn't funded by the council eh?
I thought you were being sarcastic. Even the Rovers fans are calling it an embarrassing flop that should have been cancelled.
When we played Bristol City in the playoff final Hull City Council said beforehand that there would be a reception whether we won or lost. Nothing new here.
