This story about Martial annoys me to the core. How can we spend 36m on a guy that is only 19 years old? This is a joke!!!

Why does it annoy you? It is not your ****ing money. As long as he is good what does it matter that he is £5m or £15m or £36m?

    Yes.

When the chavs can bid £87m for Pogba, and City can buy sterling for nearly £50m and de Bruyn for £56m. Consistent if anything.

What does it matter? If you care for the future of the game, then this would not be your response.

I buy merchandise and pay to see the matches on tv. So yes, I directly contribute to the money spent.

Unfortunately this is where it is going. We don't like it but it was inevitable.
When sky paid £5billion for TV rights and clubs are so flushed with money.

As I said Debruyn for £56m, sterling for nearly £50m and RS donkey benteke for £33m?

This is madness but you have to pay the money or you are left behind by the likes of City and Chelsea

That's ridiculous money indeed, but each one of those players are proven worth players, who the f--k is this guy?

Unfortunately potential costs money too. In such a competitive world with clubs flushed with cash chasing the very top strikers, then the players with even a hint of world class potential will cost millions.

United took a punt may be but we needed a striker anyway

    De Bruyn is proven?

If my memory of his last visit to the PL is anything to go by he's anything but proven to be worth 50 miliion.

Ha I don't think so. Not with the way that our defence has been performing.

Why are u annoyed? Didn't we sign a teenager in Shaw for 30m? Though he's beginning to look like a class player. And we did sign a world class for 60m and look how that turned out. The transfer market is getting crazy, if u don't keep up u will be left behind.

I don't think we are keeping up Lostboi. In fact I think if you don't want to be left behind you have to be ahead of the game... and we simply haven't been. It's all reactionary and just amateur hour.

He was dreadful. He's had one good season by all accounts just like Sterling.

And this young French kid it seems.

Potential just got a **** load more expensive.

The thing is we have the money to spend but the management are not doing it right. We had all summer to strengthen the team, we did in some areas but decided to leave the attack as it is even though it was obvious from pre season we needed to improve the attack. And the press having a field day linking every top players to united. Lvg screwd up the pedro deal. It's OK if he already had other plans but ended up he had no plans. Neymar? Cough cough. Then we beat beat club brugge, Rooney getting a hat trick and he thought we will be fine. For sure this martial deal is a panic buy, but as it is right now any striker is better than Rooney IMHO. Did u see the chances he missed yesterday? Especially the last one. Any striker would have at least had a shot on target even if he doesn't score rather than looking for a cheap penalty.

Ignore the price. If you were throwing £40-50m about, who would you have bought? I think there is enough quality out there for that price without risking it on an unknown teenager. I can't get my head round just how bad this is tbh.

You fall into the classical trap of looking at the price paid. The money is irrelevant to me (it should be to you too).

If he improves our squad it is good. If he does our first team even better.
