Maybe but fsg have let you guys sink a lot of money into the squad in transfers and wages. You have one of the biggest squad sizes in the leagues and have had a big spend in the last 5 years.

 

This lot love the "net spend" bullshit, they seem to think it means the players they buy don't actually cost that much

 

Tbf to the scousers i agree with them partially about the net spend and i made an example if it earlier. It was along the lines of if i bought bale for 50 sold him for 70, bought pogba for 70 and sold him for 90 then bought messi for 90, have i spent a d got a squad worth 210m or have i really just spent 0m and done a fantastic job

Last season there was an article in the news that United had assembled the most expensive squad in history which was very true. The Mousers delighted in pointing this out and a few of your lads thought it great fun too, "net spend" was never mentioned

and rodgers is 3 points above you with a worse squad and Wenger has already won one trophy against you this year

 

if anything being prem champs last year will make this year even more embarrassing for cheslea... to end up 6th or something will look really bad after winning it. City got embarrassed twice finishing 2nd!

 

Of course it will end up embarassing if we end up 6th. But that will only materialise when its pretty certain we wont be title winners or not in the champions leahue qualifier positions. As of now being chanpions and 3 points behind is better in my book
