Morning all.... I think we're going to have a busy day tomorrow. Wouldn't be surprised to see at least 4 or 5 new faces in maybe more especially if Ant is going to Wolves. Agreed we need a CB and if Byram goes to Sunderland then we're only stuck with one 1 RB and Wootton. If Ant does I think we may need another 1 or two strikers as we can't go the season with just 3 actual striker and a winger filling.
Agreed, even if he's not going to be a regular starter he's an impact sub who actually does have a positive impact on the game. Very good player
I'm not against him going if we have a replacement in the wings but if we don't then it's a very stupid move
Still think we'd be silly to let Byram go especially at lower than what has been talked about all summer. Off form or not, give him another contract and get him to really knuckle down. We know he has the talent, if he struggles with the competition then sell him in January or next summer even if it is for a much lower price imo. The intent is what matters most at the moment for us.
Also agreed! Hopefully someone has their wires crossed and it is Doukarra going the other way but, from the (lack of) reaction to Wood's goal on Saturday I suspect there is mileage in this
I really hope Byram isn't going anywhere for anything other than silly money. He may not be the finished article as a RM, but him being there does allow the RB to push forward and for him to fill in as required. Saw the highlights & we're really starting to play some good stuff. We're a long way off the finished article. But an away win at Derby suggests we'll see real progress this season. Top 6 is a real possibility
Wouldn't have thought Antenucci will be going anywhere. At worst, he is a very good impact sub. At best, he will score regularly and/or be good support for Wood.
