    We have one runner tonight

ROKER PARK 7.45 Hamilton - put up by Nass and won at 9-1 last time out for the thread

form of Newcastle race should be taken with a pinch of salt. Showed enough to suggest his mark is right, will probably win a 0-90 at a Northern track

Roker Park ran a game race, if they can get it out in a 0-90 off its revised mark I think it could win again.

Can I add a couple please Ron?

Yesterday in the Weatherbys Super Sprint for 2 year old horses, two Hannon horses, Redact and Eureka both ran very nice races. The 5 furlongs was much too short for them. It wouldn't surprise me to see them both win in Group company.

El Greco - needs a stamina test and will be a very good three year old. Taking debut.

Not running. I guess the ground is too fast (good to firm). I noted her as requiring softer than good, softer the better.

    ENTERED FOR THE FOLLOWING RACES

23Jul11 2:45 (Four Day) at Newmarket (july), Boylesports Every Second Counts Fillies' (Handicap)

Ran on Saturday. Beaten just under 7l 6th of 7 to Prime Defender.
"Reared start, in touch, effort over 2f out, soon ridden along and no impression"

That's 2 races where rearing at the start hasn't helped his chance. He was 9/2 co 2nd Fav of 3. If they could get him out of the habit of rearing it must give him a good chance and if his poor form gets him into a handicap on a lowish weight he could pop up at a big price. I've not given up hope.

    Entries:

7Aug11 4:30 (Early closer) at Curragh, Patrick P O'Leary Memorial Phoenix Sprint Stakes (Group 3)

13Aug11 3:40 (Early closer) at Newbury, CGA Hungerford Stakes (Group 2)

3Sep11 3:30 (Early closer) at Haydock, Betfred Sprint Cup (Group 1)

    So much for a handicap

Remove Eightfold. He just hasn't built on his promising debut.

Add Debating Society, because when you take the result (4th) and the consideration that he was the most backward horse in the field, then he should come out and win next time.

Ron: 3 that you may wish to consider about adding to your list:

Top Diktat was put up by Nass on Friday and ran a very strange race, looking like he was beaten 3 out he stayed on again against his elders and ran a very nice race. There is one condition as his breeding suggests he must have softish ground to give his best! When he drops back against his own age he will win well.

Secondly Newnton Lodge won a very decent looking maiden at Sandown on Friday, he actually won very well indeed and could run up a sequence. Trained by the very in form Roger Charlton and owned by the hottest owner in training Prince Khaled Abdulla i very much like the look of this horse.

Finally Attractions sister FEDERATION won very well LTO and i was looking forward to a nice win at 25s in the Listed race at Sandown on Saturday only to see her withdrawn! She will win a nice race and again is trained by that man Charlton.

No worries if you do not wish to add them <cool>

Anjaz looks an exciting prospect after a comfortable debut at Kempton over a mile. Any Nathaniel fans should have been on, yet another useful produce from the Magnificent Style line.

Also Almagest won smartly over 10f (Gosden/Abdulla) winning a madien on it's third attempt, a progressive one to watch.

An early one for the jumps season - Sword Of Honour won the bumper at Killarney with the minimum of fuss tonight, didn't come off the bridle to score by 9 lengths. Caught my eye beforehand as he is a son of Montjeu (gelded) and was making his racecourse debut in the famous dark blue Magnier silks. No idea where or when we might see this one next but ultra impressive and should be capable of winning more bumpers prior to tackilng an obstacle.
