Arsenal are a soft touch - when the screw turns they lack strength, power and pace -http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/11831102/Arsenal-are-a-soft-touch-when-the-screw-turns-they-lack-strength-power-and-pace.html He seems to mirror a lot of what the majority of fans say about our current Wenger era teams. They lack the necessary ingredients to win the league of power and defense in the core of our team. Even on this forum the majority have highlighted the same issues. Not enough is done to address the problems. Wenger has his new philosophy and it's admirable that he's sticking to it, but sometimes you have to accept you're doing somethings wrong and change things for the better. Let's hope he does this sooner rather than later.
Oh that. Not really sure you can call it 'new' anymore can you? And given its been around that long now without working I'm also not sure you can still call sticking to it 'admirable'.
This a bullshit..tired cliche'd response from Neville. I also think it's untrue. When you look at our side Koscielny, Giroud, Coquelin, Sanchez.. we have enough 'fighters'. We also have more size than previous teams so the lightweight comment doesn't really hold. We lack pace?? Sanchez, Bellerin, Walcott, Oxo and Wellbeck!! ...Is there any team out there that could post a quicker lineup? Our issue is simple.... We play an attacking system with a team full of creative players but we lack a World Class finisher to spearhead the side. This can make us somewhat toothless in attack. As a result we push further and further up the pitch and become vulnerable at the back.
How often are they in the same team? I think you misunderstand him, perhaps the word he should have used is heart or determination. Many of your team just go through the motions, they are very good players but seem to lack the will to win at all costs, the never say die attitude to coin a cliché.
there are many games where he really doesn't. that's the thing with him, he's hot and cold, which is what stops him from being considered truly world class.
Giroud a fighter? I think, I have heard it all now. Giroud is a massive pussy, who despite his size, never bullies and fights defenders, everytime he gets fouled, he falls on the floor and acts like he has been shot. The guy just loves himself too much and would never risk his pretty face getting bruised or cut. In terms of our squad, I would say Mert, Cech and Arteta are our leaders, while Alexis and Coquelin are our only two fighters.
Tbh, I think Kos is a bit of a fighter. Gabriel too seems to be a fighter, he has that mean look to him.
Is Gabriel a fighter, or is he just really, really ugly?! Chap can put a reducer on people though, that's for darn sure. Think he'll take a while to learn to moderate some of those "tackles", much like Koscielny had to. Early days but I'm cautiously optimistic about him.
Its usually ugly centre backs that you can rely on to be fighters. Since hes not pretty he doesnt spend time like Giroud and others waxing their ass.
He does it standing In front of the mirror while ramsey explains how it's properly done. After done ramsey analyses whether the wax has been done properly.
