I have a question to ask and that is did playing in the Europa League put a bit of a mental strain on the whole club that has affected performances until now. With the "monkey off the back" were Saints more relaxed in their approach that enabled them to get a fine win?
On Jay Rodriguez, I remember someone like Arsene Wenger saying that after a long period out injured a player will need to spend as long back in the team as they did out injured before they recover their best form. A lot of that is down to regaining confidence in the injured body part. I wouldn't be at all shocked if Rodriguez takes all season to recover his best form.
Surprisingly fair coverage on MOTD2, I thought. Somehow, they didn't realise it was not about our improved performance but the desire of all our players to leave. What's going on? Did they not see the Sky coverage?
I thought there were times today when his close control was better than it was before his injury. His movement was also excellent. Having him back is, on today's evidence, going to be as good as any signing we could have made. All he needs now is game time and a goal.
Okay then, they're not so achingly desperate to drum up an audience by creating and perpetuating rumour
Indeed. I watched the whole 90 minutes before MOTD2 and I didn't notice any problems between them. OK, they didn't have the love-in that goes on between Tadic and Pelle, but that's understandable. Those two want each other's babies.
I think you can do better by having Adblock Plus as an addon in your browser [I never suffer adverts], and perhaps Ghostery as an icing on the cake [no tracking]. Also VideoDownloaderHelper [yes really all one word] is actually a slightly superior video downloader in my opinion. But as you say, download them and watch them any time you fancy. Also, if you use VLC player, you can record segments to post on forums. I did exactly that last season when Mane nutmegged Cleverley in the 6-1 at St Mary's.
Well I was expecting to come on here and vent my spleen and anything else I could with vitriolic fervour but alas Saints played some football for the first time in a while. Therefore I'll have to just moan about Pelle's 15 sideheel flicks (only 1 going near a Saints player....who was offside), 12 dummies when he has 5 defenders behind and he was in a really good position to take it on himself and the attempt to score an overhead kick from 25 yards. Now if Ronald would just say 'Grazza, Cut out the schit mate, alright." Then I would have very sore clappy hands again
He's just pissed off we dropped his direct hoof tactics.... Edit: apologies to the whole Board. There is no need for me to post that, but I just couldn't resist. I hereby promise not to reply if he justifiably calls me a dick for this
Yes, I was at the game and recorded it, so you're welcome to come round and watch. I'll even supply beer and food. There's a condition though. They gave out 'clappers' at the game yesterday and you're going to have to clap for the whole game and do a cheerleader routine with me and my lad for the first ten minutes. You will have to wear a T shirt that says "I'm a happy clapper" and the take an oath of allegiance saying, "I will stop being negative on the forum and judging the team so early in a season and give Ron time to have new players adjust and stop demanding big money signing" Finally, you'll have to listen to Ralph's top three speeches I have copies of, but that won't be until after the game because you may be asleep when the game starts. What time you coming round?
There is some validity in why you say here, but what about the flip side view: if a player like Tadic wanders a bit, he causes problems for the defenders and is harder to pick up. Generally you are right, but there is a time for both.
Oh terrypaine did you miss my really big smile at the bottom... I was taking the pee out of all the NegHeads. Some you missed that. Of course it was a magnificent day. Yours: a fully fledged happy clapper
