    Chelsea fan here in peace.

It was a nice match, south american derby - host and favorites gets to stay at home and Uruguay advances in Argentina.

Suarez is amazing - nicely held up many plays and won so many dangerous free kicks, with which Diego provided wonderful service to Lugano and co to incessantly trouble the Argentine rearguard.

On so many instances - the maze like, waving run by suarez created so many troubles for Argentina.
Real handful Luis who produced hatful of chances for Uruguay. It was hard to believe Uruguay played more than 45 mins with 10 players.

Can't wait for the next season - where you can challenge us and city for the title.
He is going to be one hell of a player for you guys <applause>.

Final score : 1-1 after extra time - Uruguay won 5-4 on penalties . Guess who missed the lone kick - Carlos Tevez.

Hoping that AVB and KD battle it out next season for the title and red nose is no way near.

It is yet again proof, football is a team sport. Thats why real Madrid have not won hte champions league and la liga every season, they've nearly always had the best players in their league.

Some, U1R for example think Messi needs to do something with Argentina to prove he is a great player. That would be complete contradiction of the description of 'team sport'.

Uruguay have a good team, were very good in the WC and they woud give England a trouncing I reckon, never mind Ireland:)

He will be very important this season for us. One thing though I should mention, having beat Argentina, Uruguay will now play Peru on Tuesday and I would guess they would probably win. They would then possibly play Lucas's Brazil on Sunday the 24th of July in the final. Would they then be given some time off? Could possibly both be missing for the start of the season. Although having said that, Suarez seems to come across that he just loves to play and wouldn't want to miss any games.

good point. But I think Liverpool can manage. Kuyt was in super form at the end of last season and Carroll has his fitness back now. Spearing can throw in a good tackle, and Adams got a great passing range to make up for Lucas (hopefully Gerrard will be fit).

So again Sir Lord Messi the Great Saviour of all Mankind flops for Argentina. Kind of puts a dent in the cliams from his bum lovers that he is as good as the likes of Maradona and Pele.

Argentina are a shadow of thier former selves. Still finding that thumping a bit bitter eh?

And after the season Messi had last season, I am not the smallest bit surprised he'd be a little flat

And it is Sir Lord Baconface not Messi

I just hope he gets more than Torres! I've got a bet with a mate that Suarez will score more than Torres. I'm quietly confident at the moment...

I think he will get around 15 with some assists as well!
