Well, you can 'shake' the plants to pollinate them but here in Oz we just leave the greenhouse door open and the bees just fly in and do their job - just got to watch for the butterflies.
The big (forgive the pun) thing here is giant bloody pumpkins but I couldn't be arsed.

 

Just watch out for this in your Toms. It is the scourge of the professional tomato growers world. It is a moth that lays it's eggs inside the leaf cells or even inside the tomato. Not to be confused with the leaf miner.

What are you trying to grow with UV lights ? You need High Pressure Sodium

 

I once sent off for a stick from Ribena, to grow a bush with whatever fruit Ribena is made from on it.

Planted it.

Nothing happened.

In another story, I grew a sunflower once. It was a bit stunted, as I left it in the pot a bit too long. Anyhow, once transferred to the Earth, it grew to about 3 foot, before a cat got it, and savaged it completely.

BTW I have thoroughly watered the tomatoes as recommended although it sounds as though there is plenty of wet weather on the way.

Just back from Wembley. Men versus boys. Very poor by Rovers

The part of the day that will remain with me was as I was heading for the exit I saw a lady with disproportionately large beasts on the concourse. Bottom half about size 8 but very big on top. My eyes were out on stalks.
