They had 10 men. He had almost nothing to do. Tadic and Mane are by far and away the men of the match for me. Pelle very good too.
Before the match Carragher was expressing sorrow for JRod because he missed out on a move. At least Neville said it gave him no pleasure to see Saints torn apart as we are such a good club and he argued with Carragher when he tried to say it was just normal.
Koeman: "The same answer for Victor and Sadio - we do not sell. They will stay at Southampton, I am 100% sure. They need to respect their contracts and show the commitment that Sadio is showing."
Well, that was good to see. Remained me of early last season, Tadic looking awesome, Pelle looking like Pelle, Mane looking 2 notches up from MAne last season, Jayrod out of plaster and now playing footie, the season starts now
Hey, we can watch MOTD again....and the behind the scenes video. As I said, sunshine, flowers and butterflies.
You were obviously watching a different game then. All of our players were outstanding today but Romeu was absolutely everywhere on the pitch. Made loads of tackles, and practically every pass counted.
Fonte mentioned the international break as if it was a holiday....then smiled as he realised he would be playing for Portugal.
What he did I expect him to be able to do. They didn't test him. Perhaps you don't rate him very highly and he played far above your expectations. He played well, but giving a DM motm against 10 men is a bit silly when they offered next to nothing on the break.
Perhaps you should ask yourself why they offered nothing on the break. Something to do with our defensive midfield perchance?
I now see that the problem with the team this season is not internal but external. It is me. I was on holiday for Vitesse and missed today's game at a party. I think I will have to put myself on the transfer market.
Norwich's manager not blaming going to 10 men....said he wasn't happy before the sending off and they didn't deserve anything from the game. He needs to contact Mourinho and find out how to whinge.
Ronald Koeman is asked about Dusan Tadic's reaction to the foul which resulted in Steven Whittaker's second yellow card. "I will talk to him about fair play," says the Dutchman.
Yeah, but Norwich, Watford and Newcastle are not exactly a murderer's row. Still, I would agree with you somewhat. The season is still young, so a few bad games early is not such a big deal. The worry for me that things COULD spiral out of control, not that they already were. I really thought today's match was crucial in that respect, with some tough games coming up and the transfer window still (briefly) open. But we got the exact response we needed from Koeman and the players, so things are now looking a lot better. Still a lot of games to play and I'm sure many twists and turns, though. But I'd have said that even if we had 7 or 8 points.
