In all honesty whether we're doing bad or they're doing bad... Its always an unpredictable game. No matter how good or how crap we are doing you can never take that game as a guarantee win or loss.
Not the points but the performance that are the problem, frankly we are extremely lucky to have 7pts if it hadn't been for refs we'd only have 4 maybe 3pts. Also 2 goals in 4 games, even Sunderland have scored more than us. Same problems as last year; Can't score, defence liable to fall apart at any moment
My interpretation is that Clyne could be signing of the season, but signing Benteke and Ings for the system Liverpool play is nonsensical. They're both 4-4-2 players, and being honest looking at Liverpool's squad, it's not good enough to play any other way. Coutinho is the best player at the club, when he plays well it all fits into place, and Firmino should be his back-up. If I'd been Liverpool manager this is what I'd want my team to look like: -------------------Mig-------------------- -Clyne----Skrtel--Sakho---Moreno --------------------Lucas (would have retained) -Milner------------------------------Bolasie -------------Coutinho/Firminho---------- ---------------Benteke----Ings------------ Yet Rodgers still plays like the phantom of Louis Suarez is roaming about!
As I have said the results have gone our way but the performances are a worry, it's the same old problem but with new players. There's a lack of fight, Rodgers has managed to remove that spirit from our club we don't react when under fire. Four years of analytical, tactical, systematic overdrive has left us in a poor state. I'm a big fan of systems and tactical approaches but it has to be built on a spirit and work rate. I am still very much hopeful of a good season but I really don't see it being a reality.
Marginal..... linesman flagged so if a guys shirt is offside so blame the player and tell him to tuck it in.
Deffo there was giving up. Ok 2-0 down to two poor poor errors.. fine on 30 mins we had no ideas and coutinho frustration boiled over from that... we went from that downhill to what was similar in a few ways to end of last season.
I'm sure we've had this conversation before. I think it was you last time saying best to get the boot in early before it goes tits up in your own game ...which I'm fully expecting btw
Dunno about stage 2. Stage one starts with pulling the trigger on Rodgers. Watching Mr bilic prowling the sideline energetically while Rodgers just stands there with his hands in his pockets of his over tight trousers says it all Black tie... trying for the look, the trousers a size too small..... all ego.
Hate to state the obvious, but if you only ever play one man up front, (even when playing at home), then you severely restrict your scoring chances. We should play two up front when at home, and for all away games except those against last years top 6 teams. Having 71% possession, like we had in the first half against WH and then losing 3 -0 is pointless.
Agree about the performances but this is Brod's fourth season with us and none of them have had great starts #expected #toomanynewplayers
You're level on points with 2 of your rivals and 4 points ahead of the other, no need to be calling for the manager to be sacked yet. If he was going to go it should have been as soon as last season ended
No one is calling for him to be sacked off the back of one game. We've seen the same sh*t for over 12 months now - same mistakes, same players.
