Went to the pub to watch the game and I was very impressed in the first half but then we went through a sticky patch I thought that Mowatt who I admit is not my favourite player was really struggling and should have been replaced by Murphy much earlier Cook was excellent along with Taylor who I tipped before the season started to be the star turn, Bamba Dallas especially when he changed wings Tom was awesome and scored a very good goal and Wood though missing some chances made up for it with his tireless efforts aand a really good goal could he score 20 this season I think so .Silvestri made some really good saves to keep us in the game when Derby were running the show.Cooper made a poor decision re their goal but then worked his socks off after that which to me showed guts Beradi gets better at RB Murphy must play next match along with Antenucci all in all I was very pleased with the performance and see this match as the spring board for the future just has beating Swansea all those pears ago was Revies teams spring board What are we going to do with Byram use him as a sub hardly likely to up his transfer fee no I think we should sell him whilst the irons hot To cap it all on this glorious day Leeds R L brought the cup back to town with a truly scintillating display well done Rhinos I LOOK forward to the future and relish moments like this MOT
Well said Leeds60......it made me feel proud for the city to...as my mam is from Hull(yes I shouldn't really mention that) I'm claiming the half Yorkshire part..
Whilst great that Leeds won the challenge cup the fact the final was so one sided will only have damaged the sport in that there was so little spectacle and excitement in the one big match seen on mainstream TV this year. Still a better watch than the ****e that Wales, Ireland, Scotland and Italy served up in rah rah though.
As one who wants to see the sport grow it needs the spectacle of the best teams going neck and neck to get those less interested watching. You know what I mean. And yes I know the rhinos played so well they stopped the cod heads playing but Wigan, Saints, Huddersfield. Warrington or even hull would have been a better watch.
We had to suffer 10 years of Wigan dominance, so IMO I love Leeds RLC being top dogs..I don't want it to be like the PL and become sterile, with only the top 6 playing each other in finals. FFS Who gave sunderland any chance..the mackem ****s....
Morning by the way. Just got into my 3rd cider, couldn't believe I had 5 left.......its going to be a good day..
All this back slapping because you got a very lucky win against a very poor Derby side? How the not so might have fallen
Well likely be three divisions apart next season. Hope the poor sods still drop by for a cup of tea and a natter
You're talking about the Wallies, right? you got a well deserved home whupping from a very poor Chesterfield side no wonder you wont comment on your matchday thread
