Didn't Bilic come out earlier this week and publicly say he was planning to park the bus. And Rodgers was still outcoached.

Skrtel was superb against Arsenal. The pair of them made mistakes yesterday

What's that got to do with Sakho being mince?

LOL superb? Guessing you missed the first half of the game where was partially at fault for Ramsey's goal?

And time and time again, he thrives by playing in a deeper line. He drags it back so far because he hates conceding space behind him. It's a negative approach and ruins our defence and defensive unit. Even then, Arsenal still got in behind him several times in that second half.

But I suppose last ditch tackling is what makes it onto the highlights packages. <ok>

But as usual - because we didn't concede, there must be zero issues. <ok>

What's it got to do with Sakho? Hmm good question - as mentioned previously, you're quick to mention that Sakho is poor on the ball but you have yet to mention the fact that Skrtel has been awful on the ball this season (apologies if I have missed these). Not to mention the fact that Lovren likes to hoof the ball more often than not. But these two are very good on the ball apparently?

4 games in and Benteke has scored 1 goal from a cross. Why aren't we crossing more to him??

Rodgers wanted to tske a risk on Mario and turn him into a player he simply wasn't.

Now he's doing the same with Benteke.

    Play to his strengths.

I really hope Rodgers starts playing Sakho every week and I could watch as you tried to defend his errors.....

There was a reason the PSG dropped him for Alex and a similar reason why Rodgers prefers Lovren.

He's not very good Jimmy <laugh>

Haha this comedy gold! Defend what errors? Oh yeah, the errors where he finally got a run last season where we won around 10 games and conceded considerably less goals?

I think you;re confused mate - you seem to think that giving the ball away is a bigger error than positioning or reading of the game.

Sakho could dribble through 10 players and score a worldie and you would still say he's poor on the ball. It's a shame you have been sucked in by the media. I thought you were better than this. :(

And dropped at PSG? Yep, left PSG when he was 22 when they bought Thiago Silva who is the best centre back in the world.

    Great comparison. <ok>

I'm guessing the fact he was VC for France who boasted the best defence in international football means nothing either.

But yes, you only judge players using your eyes only - it's a shame you don't use them that often.

I've not mentioned his lack of quality on the ball today though have I?

I don't think he's a good defender - full stop. Rodgers patently agrees with me as he doesn't trust him in a back 4.

LOOOOL - you're right. Sakho only played 35 games in his last season at PSG.

My apologies, I suppose Bambi on Ice is a metaphor for his poor positioning and reading of the game. <laugh>

Fair enough Jimmy. Almost missed the last sentence. You, believe it or not weren't one that came to mind because you have pointed out good stuff when it's happened. Although you're a little gloaty today lol but you've gave your reason why :emoticon-0148-yes:

I actually agree about Skrts and I believe running away from an oncoming forward which he regularly does is as bad a fick up as trying to be to cute in defence. It invites shots and causes panic amongst the others.

The funny thing is that he's been doing this for years. It's nothing new. But he gets away with it because he either scores a goal or does a last ditch tackle which looks good and takes away the focus.

He was worse than Lovren yesterday but he won;t get nearly as much criticism because Lovren did that one monumental f*ck up.

Tobes, do you seriously rate Lovren as being a better defender, than Sakho? And unelegant as he may be, Sakho is still five times more comfortable on the ball than Lovren. Face facts - Lovren is a ****ing car crash of a defender, and it says something that a relatively few games of not committing any major disasters has Lovren being lauded, in some corners, as being a decent player. He's not. He makes Nicky Tanner look like Bobby Moore on the ball. Enough already - he's a £20m-odd white elephant (without the pachyderm's movement, I might add).
