We look to be in big trouble at the back now, and I for one didn't see it coming. Ivan has seemingly lost every bit of his pace in the 3 months since last seasons end, and has gone from probably his best form to his worst in a blink. In this form he is a real liability. JT was always going to struggle to retain last seasons form, but with Ivan off the boil big time, JT is in trouble as well, though we need his experience. Cahill is an enigma, but just too unreliable . Add his poor pace to that of the other two, and you have the shambles of the last 3 weeks. Azpi is stretched beyond breaking. Hes out of position and out on a limb as the only one of our backs with any pace. He is too often tugging shirts and fouling because hes just that bit too far behind to be effective. Zouma is just too young and inexperienced to cover for the other 3 who are currently hopeless. Whoever let Luis go and sold Bertrand should be fired immediatly, they have left our defence threadbare and with no cover whatsoever. One assumes it was the same people who got rid of de Bruyn and Schurrle and brought in Salah, Cuadrado, Willian and Falcao. And Fabregas, who is looking more and more like a half season wonder. Matic is showing the strain of trying to plug a broken watermain with a cork. Is it simply that so many players have lost all their pace and form at exactly the same time, or is there some other reason for this mess? I have been begging for Pogba for 2 years, but a reported 75 mill fee and 300Gs a week would destroy any harmony in the team. We might not be in crisis, but we are in a bit of trouble. Is Jose a manager to turn around misfiring teams? Lets hope so.

Shocking tbh. I think right now, they should have kept Cech and sold Courtois. Does he look like a matchwinner? He doesn't perform above and beyond what you'd expect from a bulk standard goalie like Butland. I think being done from 65 yards by Adams last season has knocked him a bit. He generally looks a bit of a plum as well tbf.
Being 7`10" he is useful at claiming crosses and corners, from the first goal today I have deduced he is quite good at limbo as well
I haven't seen any of the game but I fancied Palace for a draw purely because of their pace in attack. I didn't expect us to get beat mind. I heard that Kenedy came on at played at Left Back? I don't think the defense is just to blame, our midfield has been woeful so far. Fabregas has forgotten how to pass and Matic who did all the defending last season is massively out of form. As for Courtois the only negative thing I've noticed is how uncomfortable he is with the ball at his feet. I haven't seen the goals from today yet mind....
Lol you man u plums. You would love to have a goalie of Courtois quality and if he was playing for united, UIR would be writing an article a week on him. I will concede that he doesn't make worldie saves regularly though. I'm not going to rise to your bait, i will wait til tomorrow when the swans stuff your sideways football. Anyway as for our defence, i have said since last year Ivanovic is past it defensively and this year he's proving me right. Whats worse for me though is Jose with his mistifying subs, i have said time and again if we're trying to defend a lead, he cannot leave hazard and fab on. Since Hazard is a far better player, Fabregas cannot stay on (especially as a 2 with matic). Joses untouchables policy with certain players is mystifying and screams of what happened in the year we mutually departed with him. I just hope its because he's playing games. Whatever happens, Ivanovic needs to be dropped and baba to come in. Cahill and Zouma doesnt quite work as both are not leaders. It has to be Terry and Zouma for me.
