2nd. 3 wins, a draw we would have won. Rock solid defence. Good players bought and returning. Seem to remember all summer its been the club is a disgrace the Allams are ****ing useless. They wont spend money. Bruce is ****. He cant motivate them anymore, he should go. Tactically inept. The players all want out. Why would they stay here the club is rotten from top to bottom. We'll be bottom at the end of August. I was a bit of a lone voice . You name it its been said. So anyone want to reconsider? Or shall i ask Ben to go back and review posters posts? Come on its good for your soul. Admit to a bit of poodling you know you want to.
We're ****ing lucky to be second, we really haven't been very good at all so far, hopefully we'll finish the window with a decent squad and press on.
I said in another thread, I used to laugh at the fans of some other teams squealing between, 'sack the board' to 'we're going to be Champions of Europe' on a week by week basis. Unfortunately, over the last decade or so, we've ended up just like them.
Went today because of a friend being on holiday who lent me his pass (so no money from me went to Allam). I thought we were distinctly ****ing average at best.
Interesting that we haven`t hit the footballing heights as yet, but we are second, wait until Christmas before counting chickens, but as I have said previously in other threads, Bruce is the man to take us back up, and as i eluded to in another thread, Sam Allardyce took West Ham up playing winning football, not attractive football.
I'm optimistic think we've a tough few days ahead with the transfer window. If we can keep the squad we have we have a chance. We don't seem to be playing completely as a team yet, understandable with all the new faces, but I think the quality is there, hence why we have managed 3 home wins. However the teams we have had at home have been bottom half teams (Fulham the jury is out last season they weren't great) think it may have been different if we'd played a Boro or a Derby. My opinion is keep what we have and when we fully click we will have a good chance. The away form as allwyas will be the difference between going up or not.
We've been average at best but we're second!? We've conceded a last minute goal to lose an away point, had our keeper throw one in our own net and played pretty poorly in both away games. I'm just waiting for our first red card and we'll have a full house of **** things to do in a game of football. However all of these things have occurred in our first 5 games, our fitness looks waaay better than the sides we've faced in this league and we can only get better from here on in. We'll be top 4/5 come Christmas.
We have a couple of tests in the coming weeks with Brighton and Cardiff away follow by qpr at home, if we are still 2nd then, then I may start to be quite optimistic.
Aint that the truth. Relegation is terrible but its up to the fans to support the club/team and pull them through.
I wonder how many saying we won but it was dire, were wanting someone like Allardyce in charge to keep us up.
Brighton away will be a big test. They did well to get 3 points today away at Ipswich. Call it the Rosenior factor!
All the games I have seen us in we have been dire, but I haven't really been impressed by the overall standard in the Championship. It's all about what squad we are left with after Tuesday. Which other player have we had a bid for? Was Bruce inviting more bids in his post match interview?
I'am optimistic because despite not playing that well we are still winning and looking pretty comfortable. At home we should win most games, away from home I think we look too safe and predictable at times, need to be braver and go for it. Diame will make a big difference if we keep him.
