I very much like what he said about not wanting to say hope. Hope is not good enough. Expectation and the right atittude to win, is what's required. I've said this before about the players' attitude and I believe it is absolutely right. Leave hope to the supporters, because that's all we can honestly do.
One of things I like about the early part of the season is that one or two good results have you zooming up the table.
Any win tomorrow takes us to 10th. Win by 5 goals and we're 9th. And then if Swansea lose to Man U we'll be 8th.
And the tiny, but detectable millstone hanging around the neck of this forum will disappear in a trice.
Thankfully l have to work tomorrow in Doha so will miss the game. I feel the result will depend on which Saints team turn up for the game. Really have no idea of what tactics we will play, suffice to say of we play hoof-ball we should not hope for too much. I know that sounds so pessimistic, but speaking from the heart. Compared to the team of last season, l simply have no idea what result to expect tomorrow.
We got some funny results last season as well....as soon as you pencil in a team for a nice 3 points, they turn into Barcelona.
