Wood is a bit of a strange'un though isn't he. He seems to miss some sitters and although he's a big guy using his head isn't really his strong point. Fantastic goal from him today though.
As long as he keeps scoring don't care how he looks,tbh Beckford missed 9/10 shots but still scored plenty and that's what its all about.

On the game, thought over the 90 minutes Leeds were the better team .. the spell after half time was to be expected, they were bound to be revved up and flying, and we did well to hold them to one goal .. Dallas played a great cross for Adeyemi, who finished like a seasoned striker (this lad is very impressive, and at just 23 he can become a quality player for us for a long time) .. Wood's strike was fcuking sensational, fcuking sensational, and if that was a Shearer, Ronaldo or Dalglish the football world would be purring .. very good start to the season, and with some quality additions in the right areas we have every reason to be optimistic .. in the past few seasons we would have folded against that Derby onslaught, but the new Leeds went "fcuk you, we are Leeds and we're here to win" .. love it!! I completely agree. In the premiership if you're a top (TOP) team - you need your strikers to offer something else. But in the Championship, all you need is a striker to score goals really.
Before I reply to Leeds60 and just for the record on my thoughts on Chris Wood.... The goal he scored today was exceptional, his misses are painful and he is awful in the air when you consider his height. I don't believe he will get 20 goals I hope I am wrong but I totally agree with a comment made by WJ a few days ago that made me realise I was perhaps expecting too much of the guy..... He cost £3m and is not the finished article, if he was then he would be triple the price. I am still trying to get used to his on pitch demeanor, he comes over as someone sluggish and not trying, maybe a few pounds overweight, I am not saying he is, just his style. I hope I am wrong and he bags over 20 goals, it is just my opinion and unlike some I don't get all bolshie and aggressive when I am wrong.
Well a contradiciton straight away, if you don't read what I say how do you know my thoughts on Wood, prooves you are a liar but then many of us know that by reading through the price of petrol thread . While on the subject of the price of petrol thread, you aimed replies at me several times and because everyone saw through your BS you did your usual trick and vanished from it. You do the same time and time again, you create an argument and when you are proved wrong you come out with a load of gibberish trying to deflect away from the proof against your crazy claims and when that doesn't work you avoid the thread like the plague. It wasn't me or Glory that posed a question to you on that thread so what is your excuse for not replying to those that did question you? Why not (for a change) be a man of your word and stop reading my threads, stop bringing my name into your mumbo jumbo postings and if you disagree with me try to remember it is an opinion that I have, unlike you I don't believe I am always right and I don't pretend to be a know it all, I leave that to you because if there was an exam to be had for making a fool of yourself you would be a A* pupil.
