In some respects, the sending off has deflected away the fact, that we have only two points from four games.

Still, it was an encouraging performance in the circumstances, but, we need to move on fast and start picking up points otherwise confidence will dip and McClaren will find his honeymoon period is over.

Wally with a brolly needs to clamp down on this **** big time. It wasn't Carvers lack of leadership clearly, our team has a very serious discipline issue. How many red cards is that in the last 15 games? 10??? That's insane. And most of them simply idiotic, not last ditch tackles in the penalty area or Krul getting sent off, but simply daft and petulant sending offs that let down every one, especially the fans. I hope Mitrovic gets fined all his wages for the next 3 games by the club. This **** just can't float anymore.

We're neveer going to stay in this league when we finish half of our games with 10 men.

Again, you're using negative language. I don't think Haidara was bad. 7/10 is a good rating. I gave Janmaat a 7 also.

I think Janmaat was more solid defensively. He didn't look exposed. True, he had Sissoko to help him, but he didn't seem to slip up that much defensively.

Haidara probably did better attacking wise, but exposed us far more defensively, especially in the first half. His tackling and work rate is excellent, but his positioning is going to take a lot of work.

 

What's everyone's issue with negative language?

You're using the word "worse". In a game in which no one was bad, and everyone has a positive rating, it's not about who was worse, it's about who's the least good or who's did better.

If we were **** and everyone was bad, a person who got a 3/10 was less **** than a player who got 2/10, he wasn't "better" than him. That's positive language that has no place in a negative game review, same as saying that someone who got a 9/10 was "worse" than someone who got a 10/10 is wrong. They were both good, but the 9/10 player was just not as good as the 10/10 player.

Just watched replay of Mitro. Looks worse than from where I was sat. However they are slowing it down a lot. Clumsy yes. Sinister? Difficult to say but I can see why he went.

I honestly don't know what people are watching with Haidara. He was getting caught loads in the first half. Second half fair enough he did well, but if Arsenal had any killer instinct we'd have been 3 or 4 down with his and Colo's positional sense first half.
