As i said in preseason, if we are lower than 6th by Xmas BR will get the sack. He's had over £250millon (let that sink in) to spend on his team. He's in the firing line big time

In games like this having Gomez at left back is really frustrating because he can't cross it first time as he's right footed, he doesn't really take the ball down the wing and he won't really give us width down the left. Its ok if we want to keep the game tight like Arsenal away and his main priority is defending but here he isn't really serving a purpose. Especially with Coutinho & Firmino coming in centrally we need our full backs to provide width and we aren't getting any on the left at the moment.

 

Our Lovren brings all the wums to the yard, and we're like he's better than that, probably not actually he's ****ing gash

 

Agreed - the first 10 games will decide his fate .. he is useless....

 

That's what happens when you take a 17 year old CB from the championship and shove him out on the left in the cold and expect him to be top 4 prem material. Genius.

 

Has anyone seen a change in system. Has David Brent done anything to change this?

Listening to the yank commentary, saying Brent will have his work cut out at half-time... why would he waste so much of the match to change things? So far West ham totally deserve this.

What utter clueless sh!te.No penetration,side to side passing and a short corner right on half time instead of crossing it into the box.Taxi for Rodgers.

 

First game I've watched this season (been away on holiday) and it looks a shambles. Far too narrow, no balance to the team since all 11 players are right footed afaik, no width on the left, no presence in midfield and Benteke looks isolated up top.

Pretty depressing so far...

 

Ok... I'm not usually one on Lovren's case but wtf?

That was an absurd and unforgivable unforced error. He has to lose his first team place now surely?



Liverpool's 4th law of thermodynamics states the better we are in the first half the worse we'll be in the second. We will have a good 2nd half... Not enough to win. We've scored one legal goal in 3 games so far. I doubt we'll get 3 in one half.
