OXO scoring just basically proved everything I said was right lol, to start with one winger instead of too many CMF'S. Thank you very much. People might not like how I put things, but most of the time, I'm right.
Decent 3 points in a game i thought we might struggle in but the performance again does nothing to convince we're going to achieve anything this season
Good result. The ref had a great game (except for the penalty .. don't know what the Geordies are complaining about) Have to say I think Oxo was useless today. Totally inconsistent as a player, he really infuriates me as there is such potential.
Positives: we won. 2 away wins in a row. 2 clean sheets in a row. Oxo. Negatives: not enough goals. Attacking play looks ****. Predictable boring play. Giroud. 2 defensive midfielder against 10 men in the end.
Cech - 5 - had nothing to do Bellerin - 7 - solid and offered going forward Gabriel - 6 - nothing really to do Koscielny - 7 - nothing really to do Monreal- 7 - solid and offered going forward Coquelin - 7 - solid protection against a non-existent Newcastle attack Cazorla - 6 - quiet Sanchez - 6 - average for him. A few good touches and runs Ramsay - 6 - a few good runs, quite a few poor touches and passes. MOM? BTSport having a laugh Oxo - 6 - didn't do a great deal but set up the winner I suppose. Walcott - 5 - did nothing of real note apart from miss two chances that a top striker should score. All in all - insipid, uninspiring and most disappointingly utterly lifeless and boring.
Wenger truly has sucked the life out of this team. Am I happy we won? To an extent. But I wanted to see us put in a strong performance and prove our worth. We failed again. Our lack of potency up front is extremely worrying.
This was a MUCH better performance than some are saying. For the most part we played fairly well .. TOTALLY controlled the game in a hostile atmosphere.
Given some of your comments on this thread, I don't think you're in a position to be calling other people morons.
What is the point of creating a team and not knowing how to get the best out of them? What is the point of having 'managerial stability' when this manager is blind to our faults or refuses to address them? Why do we have the same problems all the time? Yet I'm the moron...
We played reasonably well (first 20 mins in particular). We won the game. You should be happy. Yeah we need a better CF but this is a decent side, playing good football. Really nothing to throw a weekly tantrum about.
