Next to Portman Road after we did well to turn around a half time cup deficit, we entertain inform Brighton. Looking on Soccerway, which shows team shape aswell as lineup - appears they play a 4-4-2. Baldock's a very capable player, as is Lua Lua. I really rate Chris Houghton, very good manager especially at this level. With his canary links he won't have any further incentive than to put one over the blue and white. Further, gut instinct I don't know but I have a cautious outlook on this game. It certainly won't be 3-0, 4-0, anything silly like this. They're a good outfit. I'll predict 1-1 with us being 1 down at half time and having found the first 45 tough. Could the cup draw mean we take one eye off? I know Mick's class, but that can sometimes happen by accident. Gate - 21,000.
We've scored at least two goals per game in all competitions and I don't see that changing at the weekend. Brighton will know they will need to score at least two themselves to get a result against us so I'm expecting them to go at us pretty hard. 3-1 Town Sears, McG and Fraser 22500 attendance as fans start coming back.
Will be a tough one, and I also can't see us winning the game. I'll go for an uninspiring 1-1 draw, with a McG penalty late in the game. Was good to see AMN rested on Tuesday, as he could be a big player for us this season. Will be nice to still be top, and unbeaten going into the international break.
I see goals and have predicted 2-2 in the Not 606 Prediction League. Shame it wont be streamed, I would have watched this one.
Pretty much agreed with stretchyboy on this one. 1-1 or a score draw looking most likely. I'll go for Sears first goalscorer, hopefully he can maintain his good form since he's joined the club. I know there's a lot of competition, but I think he is likely to be our top goalscorer. Gate (is this a new one?) - 21,700
There's only been one game this season where Brighton have scored more than once and I don't think they'll score more Saturday either. I'll go for 2-1 town Fraser, McG, after conceding first. Decent team Brighton but I'm optimistic
Looks like the injuries are starting to pile up - Berra is the next one to be out for around 4 weeks. That means already we have Hyam, Bru, Berra, Parr, Bishop, Murphy and possibly McDonnell out injured - I can now see why Mick was eager to get the big Pole in before the weekend. I'm assuming therefore that Chambers will come back into centre half, with Emmanuel going in at right back. The international break has probably come at the right time
Wow decent promotion by the club I've missed that - excellent, should encourage a few to come back. Well done! Looking at the seating map - appears for once we've shifted a good amount and hopefully a few decide to pay on the day. I don't argree with the £2.50 price hike re this matter, joke. I remember my friend being in Berlin - turned up, went to watch Hertha. They hadn't sold out so they actually reduced the tickets. Love Bundusliga, superb. We could learn a lot from the German's. Tomorrow will be a hard test, win this and lets hope for draws aplenty !
Too right Westy, there is much that is good about German football, community, supporters, loyalty, sensible pricing structure, great coaching grass roots stuff - and a distinct lack of primadonas that I can see over many years of taking a passing interest in European teams.
Tough game today and we are missing a really good defender in Berra. Expect Emmanuel to come in at RB so it will be a huge game for him- especially if he comes up against Lua Lua. Expecting plenty of goals in this one. Going for a 3-2 Town win. Gate- 20,907
