Burns has been at the Edinburgh Festival 'commentating' for the BBC, I don't know how he gets away with it to be honest, hardly local issues just an excuse for him to have a nice jolly. Burgess is much better fingers crossed they have a proper pundit to analyse it with him, anybody other than Swanny
Catch 22 today, we probably need rid of certain players in order to have a chance of maybe getting a new goalie or somebody else in so I won't be disappointed if Lumberstone and Jelavic do rear their ugly heads on the pitch. Diame is a tricky one because he has been telling the world he is fully fit and I think we need to keep him to mount a proper challenge, so maybe bench as a 'precaution' please Brucey
There is a local connection, he went to cover this, it's doing rather well apparently... http://www.theguardian.com/stage/20...rbelly-edinburgh-festival-review-middle-child
Elmo? That's crazy, he's definitely the most dependable player we've got. Lately he's struggled playing on the right with Odubajo and having to cut in, but he's not stopped trying. I don't see the point in Odubajo at all. All he's done so far is stifle Elmo's game. I'd drop him. McGregor Elmo Dawson Davies Robertson Aluko Meyler Diame Maloney Jelavic Hernandez I know people are pissed off at Jelavic but he's a cut above. We can't just give up on him. He was excellent for us in the PL only last season. He can definitely do it at this level, and as Hat said, he was no worse than anyone else last week. In fact, I thought Akpom was worse than him, he barely touched the ball at all. My midfield is probably a bit too attacking but I'd love to see it.
Ye I'd be happy with that. Elmo got a huge cheer when he came on against Rochdale. Most people get how good he is. Agree about Jelly, he was fine when he came on against Fulham. He's just frustrated at the poor service. The balls Diame can put through he'll be a pig in **** today.
Don't think this is the case SB stated that the bids gone in for the keeper and its almost complete, maybe wrong but I find it strange that we bid for a player knowing that if we don't sell then we don't get him, poor way of doing business.
Hit the nail right on the head, that's were the problem is, for two long people have blame the strikers, sort the midfield out and the strikers will start to score.
He's doing a good job of hiding it. Him and Huddlestone were worse than everyone else at Charlton, I didn't see any other players pull out of 50/50's. Jela has looked shocking this season, with the exception of one bit of skill against Wolves and an okay cameo appearance against Fulham. Having said that, I'd be happy with that team if you swapped Jela for Akpom, no chance Bruce would go with it though.
I remember a cup game against Brighton in the late 80s when about a dozen blokes all suited and booted turned up in the second half and started a conga on the south stand terrace whilst singing Dougie just got married.
I'd suggest that doesn't necessarily mean he's starting, as the other shirts hung up include Bruce, Maguire & Clucas. Looks like he's in the squad though.
