Firstly I'm not going. Got a wedding i cant get out of going to. Apparently I've known for 18 months about this but i have no recollection of being told owt about it. Its an East Hull wedding so plenty of Paul Calf lookalikes will be there. The groom's already on crutches and loads are moaning cos of Rovers playing. This is going to be hell.
    Anyways

    I'd like to see a

    Mcgregor

    Dave Dawson Davies Robertson

    Elmo Meyler Diame Mahoney

    Akpom Jelavic

There mybe permutations of 4-2-3-1 and i wouldnt be against that or will Brucie think he can go back to 3-5-2 with Mo and Mahoney here now?

    Anyway 2-0

Could well be the line up if Mahoney received his international clearance in time, if not then play Hayden. Will be interesting to see if Jelavic is included in the team or on the bench if he goes for Hernandez to start, if not it might indicate that this West Spam interest has legs.

I remember back in the early 1980s,when we were doing crap, a lad rushing into The Well with a suit on and a carnation in his buttonhole, about quarter of an hour into the game asking what the score was. Someone said to him he looked as if he had been at a wedding. Was anyone upset he had left. They certainly were he replied, it is my wedding. He had informed his girlfriend he would be leaving when the speeches started (I think City weren't expected to be playing when the wedding was booked originally, can't remember now) but she didn't believe him. Had a feeling that may not have been a happy ever after story.
Had a big row when the brother in law got married. Said I wasn't going as City were playing. The wife said it would be embarrassing for her to turn up on her own. I asked her if me having flu would mean the wedding being postponed if my presence was that vital. Aftet she said don't be daft I replied that she could tell them I had flu.
Looking back you wonder why City took such a hold on you as the game in question was Jan Molby's first home game in charge.
Mind you I am still married after over 40 years and the brother in law is divorced.

I don't want to see Jelavic anywhere near the starting eleven, I'd start Hernandez, Luer or Aluko ahead of him, he was a disgrace last week.

Be great if Diame and Maloney start, but I think it's unlikely they both will and there definitely won't be any Mahoney.

Ideally, I'd like to see Chazz's team, but with Hernandez/Luer in for Jelavic.

No sympathy for the rervers fans. This could be a once in a lifetime game.

Should get them sens to Wembley.

As for us, I'm ever the optimist. Lads will finally have had a wake up call.

    3-0 us.

The whole team were a disgrace last weekend. I don't think anyone was particularly worse than anyone else with Meyler and McGregor the only exceptions.

The ones playing half hearted to avoid injurys that could potentially scupper moves should be no where near the squad

    ..................mcgregor..............
    Taylor....dawson....davies....robertson
    Odubajo...meyler...diame.....maloney
    .........akpom..........luer.............

If Jelly ever gets a decent ball he'll change as it is Robbo never puts a ball anywhere near him or Elmo for that matter. I'm hoping Mahoney will rectify this.
If you think Taylor should be playing you are mental.

What's the fringe? Sounds like some sort of hairdressing reality tv show.

Probably very true, having lived up there, they certainly fry their pies in the fish and chip shops.

The Youth team are playing Brum at 12:30 today. Bit **** timing really. I'd like to go to a few of these games. Good luck to the lads anyway.
Won two and lost two so far in the league.
