Just found this gem. I was at this one, and pretty much every Dance Paradise from '93 onwards.

After talking about dreamscape the other day I realised that my actual birthday bash was at Tiffany's in April. Got a kiss from Baby D when I told her. She was doing a PA set.

 

Good stuff, I will just say this tho, I could not and still can't stand Baby D and their cheesy crappy let me be your fantasy. Sorry my turn to be grumpy

They did a live PA down my local cattle market night club in 93. It was packed out but in-between songs the MC shouted "how we doing Reading" to which I shouted back "Go home". They could not see me but the MC heard it and shouted out in a grumpy tone "who said that?" To this day I'm so proud of that

I'm not making this up. I was at the peak of my raving and to me they were a cheesy sell out, I never liked the song in the first place before it go into the top 40

 

You have a chance to get me back now for my Hitler thread. You could do a The UTR's Baby D song and video review thread

 

This is my fave off the Magnetic album, Micky Finn used to drop this lots in his 98 sets, top stuff...

It's an early rave classic regardless, I'm the same as you though, always thought it cheesy and wasn't really my sound

 

Anyway, I'm still happy I saw them live, it was part of the scene. Just like when I saw Sugarhill Gang in Amsterdam. Worst show I've ever been to, and I mean that literally, it was garbage. But I can still say I saw those old cats.

While we are on the subject of music that may annoy you I just have to mention this god awful track.

I mean WTF. This for me was everything that was wrong with raves when it split into Dnb/jungle/darkcore etc and the dreaded happy hardcore with all that crappy pinky and perky voices

 

You actually want me to listen to that just to tell you it's crap, I know that already
