    Good Morning Everyone,

Burnley have snapped up Joey Barton on a one year loan.

I realise that Burnley will have parashoot payments coming in following their recent relegation, but did we miss a trick by not signing him?

    Thoughts?

Cellino has said that he would not take Watford striker Forestiei, even if he were free.

"I want to tell you, sincerely, that I've given up Forestieri since Tuesday. I won't take him, not even for free".

David Haigh has been jailed for two years after being convicted of "breach of trust" by the Dubai Criminal Court.

GFH alleged he defrauded it of £3m by falsifying invoices and diverted money into accounts controlled by him.

A spokesman told The Yorkshire Post: "The ruling by the judge in the Dubai Criminal Court is already under appeal.

Morning all... Barton on a free transfer and one year contract was a no brainer, I believe he would have been excellent for us in a midfield littered with inexperience and young heads.

Forrestieri is a strange one, if he joins Sheffield W then you wonder about the not wishing to move North rumours. The guy has been flooded with support from Watford fans on Twitter not wanting him to leave, why would he want to drop a division, why give him a hard time because he is against moving?

My instinct wants to slam Cellino for speaking out but that's because I don't trust him, without knowing exactly "why" Cellino has done so I will reserve judgement, maybe the guy and his agent have wasted a lot of time.

On a positive at least we were in there willing to splash some more cash and we are looking at someone of game changing quality that wouldn't have been just another squad player.

GOOD morning Matt co from a very sunny Bardsey
Well the Barton saga is over thank goodness will the Nolan saga strike up now
I am pleased also with the stance MC is taking with Foresteire we don't want him
The young French boy I think will come because he wants too simple as that I like the way he made it clear I want to play for Leedslets hope the matter can now be put to bed
David Haigh at least knows now he will be free in November at the latest but it must be a lesson to everyone dealing with these countries that they have entirely different outlook on sentences

ould love to know what went on Tuesday between Cellino and Forrestiere or his agents. I expect it will be either "Not working for that fool Cellino" Or "Cellino can't afford me", either way you know that Leeds would have been the biggest club he had been with but he blew it.

Joey Barton would have been a Vinnie character and something this club has needed ever since the last time we were in the 2nd tier of football. Wilkinson knew what needed to happen to get out and up to now we haven't had a manager who recognised that or been given support to do it. Remember it was in Burnley where Barton got bottled but he hasn't even mentioned it and the only think he has said is that Dyche was the most impressive manager he had sat in front of this summer. Expect to see Burnley promoted. Leeds60 is correct about one thing though and that it'll be Kevin Nolan now and again I would snap him up.

Fook David Haigh, not bothered that he may have been stitched up but he did try and steal our club with someones money.

Fingers crossed this weekend guys because if Rosler cannot sort it out soon:

    • Kevin Nolan will be in
    • Big Sam will replace Rosler and have his old captain with him again for the 4th time

Kevin Nolan - I wondered about his age but... Wasn't Strachan 36 when he won his last player of the year award with us? Nolan was 33 in June, maybe worth a one year contract with an option.

Where we ever going to get Barton? To be honest I'd take Nolan or Barton. You can't say a Burnley is going to get promoted this early in the season.

**** Forestri and let's find somebody else. There are plenty more fish in the sea and other handy cliches.

At least Haigh has actually had a charge put up against him now but a 'breach of trust' just sound like a bit of a sad case charge.

Also I wouldn't take Nolan. Different type of player to Barton and wouldn't be an enforcer and by the sounds of everything West Ham fans have been saying his age really has caught up with him coupling with the injuries he's had.

No doubt he'd be a good leader which we lack though but I don't think he'd exactly be playing every game. For us to sign a central midfielder right now it'd have to be one of very good quality because we already have too many around the same sort of level.

Morning ristac, I completely agree with you re Barton, a one year contract on a free is a no brainer, even if you have to pay him 1m in wages.

I reckon Cellino will spend the Byram money in advance. The lad hasn't renewed his contracr, so if we can get 8m, thats great

Another thought and I might be reading too much into it but....

Cellino hasn't uttered a word this season, he has left everything to Pearson. His comments about Forestieri, is this the first sign of frustration boiling over, could we be a defeat away from another new coach?

lYou may have a good point re Nolan but he does score his share of goals and one wonders why suddenly sell him or in his case give him away

    Lets not.
How about an apology to all those people you teed off on Wednesday/Thursday and then studiously avoided going back to admit you got it wrong?
No need to apologise to me though. You couldn't shove it far enough up without third party help.
