Your point re: Markovic only accounted for a positive outcome, it was therefore delusional, as there's every possibility he could go to Turkey and be absolutely bobbins and have a season were he fails to make an impact at all, which wouldn't add value to him and wouldn't make him return a better player.

Lambert: 3.8M dirt cheap 4th choice back up. Improved upon this year by Ing's. Only cost an extra 4-5mill more after 1M loss.

Balotelli: 16M definite loss from moment he signed the contract. Alternative was apparently Etoo after we lost out on Sanchez. The disgrace is being left with that choice rather than paying the fee.

Probable failures?

Markovic 17.5M possibility a young player may return may be a complete failure. Can't call it a loss until he is one but yes failure to immediately improve first texam.

Still part of squad:

Moreno; competing for a place in a team playing in 4 competitions. That's what we want. Our add to squad depth was an improvement year on year in Gomez? That's what we want surely? Doesn't make Moreno a failure.
