    never too late?

theres a lot of computers and tracking systems and programming in the field from the bit i heard on shows and such.

you could be out there tagging and tracking sharks and whales before you know it.

Kinda is too late. 5 of us living on my income. Even if I got a degree in night school I'd still need to almost certainly take a pay cut and start on bottom ring of career ladder again.

As boring as programming is, I need to get kids through uni before I consider changing careers.

Excuse me but I was talking to milk not about whales only to redb....

People tag sharks as much as whales.. I was merely saying he might be happy doing that using his computer skills.

Particularly seeing his office is going to be a total mess shortly.

Not a lot of people know that. I met the great Ingrid Visser in The Bay of Islands, NZ, and she told us that, don't you know? She's the one who filmed them generating a wave to chuck seals off ice flows.

She wouldn't let us swim with them because, in her words, they're 'full of mischief', like holding you down in the water until you're nearly drowned, and also the mothers get very protective around their young and twat you with their flukes.

I'd have liked to be one of the 5 people with a biology degree that used it.

I did use it for a few weeks, worked with the WDCS on their photo identification program in Cardigan bay for a bit. (services for free,) then worked for BBC wildilfe magazine for a while again for no money. Then had the option of doing a masters or becoming a corporate slag. i took the second option as most do.

I like Urban Exploration, so anything abandoned floats my boat

I found some interesting abandoned zoos online after you gave me that idea! And also some pictures of some of the old cages :(

Urban exploration also floats my boat. Was just looking at the griffith park zoo In LA the other day. So many beautiful old buildings to see around the world. Though i havent done many myself. Have you got any favorites? Themeparks, zoos, mansions, factories?
