I agree with the general sentiment. That was dire. I don't like this Saints side at all. I don't like the way we're playing. I don't like the lack of cohesion or the desperation of the long ball. I can't stand three at the back. That said, I think this Midget Land are a horrible team. All the histrionics of El Classico on a rainy night in Denmark. Jeez.

If we're going to persist with this long punt rubbish, then I'd be getting Tadic on as soon as possible. Or maybe Juanmi. Pelle is doing reasonably ok with dealing with our long punts, but half the time there's no-one on the edge of the box to pick up the second ball. I wouldn't be surprised if we're only prepared to give Mane 20 mins.
Or Long if Mane not good for 45 mins + ET and look to bring Mane on a little later if that does not work?

Mane/Long on for Yoshida or Martina at the very least. I'd be happier with a double change. The earlier we go for it the better. You never know, we might go 2-1 up if it clicks and then the other team need to score three. That's the problem I have with Koeman setting up negatively in a two legged tie. You are relying too much on keeping a clean sheet.
Hmm pretty grim so far. I have no idea what the thought process is behind the 3cb's but its not working, they swarm our attackers and smother us, not to mention our passing is shoddy to be begin with. Take off one of the CB's and bring on Mane to sit behind Pelle, then if we still struggle add Long or Tadic about 15 mins into the half.
Exactly. If we're not prepared to give Mane 60+ mins from the start, due to his injury, then we're surely not going to risk him having to play 75 mins. Like I say, if we're still up against it come 70th minute or so, then we might not have any choice. But surely we wont be turning to him already on HT, with ET possible.
Too slow and lumpy. We need to get more pace and more guile on the ball. Move it faster and look to move their players. We haven't so far.
