Looks like Brendan Rodgers has got his comeuppance over the Sterling debacle. Didn't he suck up to the petulant little toe-rag when Hodgson wanted him to join the England squad. Man City will turn into the next Chelsea being hated for inflating the transfer market prices. Not sure why the likes of Forest and other clubs who have fallen foul of the League FFP with player embargo's haven't had a go about QPR getting away without a transfer ban while they wait their punishment for cheating and getting away with it.

Bobby Zamora has returned to Brighton - on a 1yr contract. Source: http://www.seagulls.co.uk/news/article/bobby-zamora-returns-to-brighton-and-hove-albion-2591390.aspx Best wishes to him and thanks for the memories - especially the European ones. Still believe if him and Duffers had been fit we’d have won the Final. please log in to view this image
QPR have signed a new left back. please log in to view this image Paul Konchesky (34) has joined them on a season long loan. Another of our European heros. Unfortunately Paul ran out of puff in the Final and, arguably, cost us the second and all important goal.

Technical question about this site, for those of you more able than I. How do I change the email address that is linked to my account? I've had a poke around and couldn't work it out myself. Thanks in advance, anyone who can help.
Click on your username on the bar at the top and then click contact details. Your existing email address should be in the box. Delete it, enter your new email address and your password underneath. Go to your email and confirm your account again. That's what it's like from the tablet I'm using, it should be the same for whatever computer/device you're using Captain. Hope this helps.
Thanks FulhamIreland, all sorted. I knew there would be a simple way of doing it, even if finding that way was beyond me!
Orlando Sa scored more goals in 7 minutes tonight than he did in a full season at Fulham. He went on to get a hat-trick (the first in the Championship this season) as Reading had an impressive 5-1 win over Ipswich (their first home win of the season). please log in to view this image The Portuguese striker scored with a header and low shot inside the opening 15 minutes, either side of a Freddie Sears equaliser for Ipswich. Nick Blackman fired into the roof of the net for the third just after half-time as the visitors failed to clear. Sa's third from close range put Reading 4-1 up before Oliver Norwood struck a stunning 30-yard effort late on.
I'm still in awe of Reading's transfer dealings this summer. Ola John, Lucas Piazon and Matej Vydra are all remarkable signings and they somehow got Orlando Sa scoring goals. Also Paul McShane, Stephen Quinn, Jonathan Bond and Ali Al Habsi are all solid signings too. They could be dark horses this season.
Pat Roberts does his stuff earlier today for Man City v Juventus in the UEFA Youth Cup - {Link only I'm afraid} http://streamable.com/75cu
Brilliant goal- taking that into account, along with Martial's fee - I reckon he's already worth atleast £10m more than we sold him for!

Confession time .. Bobby Zamora was always one of my favourites in his time with us. And now he's only gone and scored the winning goal, late on, in successive matches for Brighton (away to Leeds and at home to Bristol). [Another of those Fulham "what ifs"! What might have happened if Henry hadn't clattered him and later, if Jol hadn't been so blooming pig headed?]
I always liked Zamora too, Cottager, even in his first season when he wasn't scoring many goals. If he'd stayed fit, I think we might have won the Europa. As for after that, I'm not sure a lot would have changed. I don't think it was Jol being pig headed, I think it was more that his pattern of play needed a different style of centre forward. For what it's worth, I think now as I thought when we sold Bobby, he'll do an excellent job in the Championship, but he isn't good enough to make a significant impact as a regular starter at Premier League level any more. I think we sold him at the right time, to be honest.
So only 2 weeks later, Chris Ramsey is sacked and Colin takes over. Kind of ironic that after spending however millions Tony Fernandes is back with the first manager he sacked. Adel Taarabt is probably quite happy but I very much doubt if any of the Championship refs are.
I was under the impression that Warnock is acting as a caretaker in the short term, rather than coming in as a long-term appointment, though I might have got that wrong. The thing is, I remember when QPR appointed Ramsey they made a big thing about changing their approach. No more throwing money at the team in the hope that big names and big money would bring promotion, instead they wanted to give a manager time to slowly build things up. It doesn't seem to me that Ramsey was doing all that badly, or that he's had all that much time. It seems an odd decision to let him go, given their previous statements about their long-term strategy. Oh well, it's always nice to see the neighbours in disarray!
Tony Fernandes and his cohorts have written off QPR’s £180m debt - In a filing at Companies House of the club’s parent company £277m more shares were allotted to the existing shareholders, in return, the document said, for “the release and discharge of the interest-free loans owned by QPR Holdings Ltd in the aggregate amount of £180,697,427.” Blimey that’s only 65p per share. Always thought they were a two bob outfit. please log in to view this image The reports say that Tony & Co have no intention of selling the club, but isn’t this exactly what Al Fayed did immediately before he sold us?
