I think it is a great idea, Brighton also had real ale in the bars! It is unfortunately all to do with the trains though.

They don't have it in the rest of the region either, or come to that, in most other regions.

I suggested to AP years ago about having events on after the game, maybe bands, or local league games, but he was reluctant. I guess he sees all those feeling the need to dash off 10 minutes from the end to get to the suburbs quicker.

Pearson said he wanted people to stop and have a drink after the game whilst watching the scores when the KC first opened. Needless to say the police didn't want this and neither did the jobsworth in HCC. Nothing to do with your ****e about the suburbs. Though the residents of Longhill, Bransholme etc will want to rush off so they aren't late for their microwaved meals or miss any TV.

Is that what he told you? He told me differently. You have asked him haven't you? Surely you're not just trotting out something bereft of facts because it fits your anti-Hull bigotry?

As for the 'shire' about suburbs. I can't see locals bothering to go in car.

I've just seen your edit. Are you saying Bransholme isn't a suburb? <doh> Your bigotry shines through.

Though Brighton put a lot of effort into the away end and have real ale and posh pies etc, I understand that financially their catering set-up is a bit of a disaster.

There is still a plan for a fan park to be opened on West Park at some point shortly.

People from Longhill, Bransholme etc don't come by car? I sup
Should people in Bransholme be considered non Hullites and be not welcome at City and have to pay to use the facilities of Hull.
We all know by suburbs you were referring to people in the despised East Riding who should be brought into a Greater Hull.

Which doesn't answer the question as to why the community stadium, in the pioneering, innovative City Of Culture can't offer the same. Other than the inept police being in a panic at the thought of people having a pint instead of being herded out.

I suggested this last season, but it got nowhere. It is not just football though is it? Does anywhere do it? Unless its corporate?

You sup? I guess that explains some of the one eyed gibberish you spout in trying to create an issue where one doesn't exist.

Nope, and Castro's bigoted insistence that it's somehow the responsibility of the Council, seems to fly in the face of his other position that it's the fault of the regional Police Force, who act on this in pretty much the same way across the region and the same as other forces in the rest of the Country do.

The council could have ignored the police "advice". Do you think the council's representatives have been helpful in their attitudes towards things at the KC regarding segregation, numbers etc?
How many new stadiums see 2,000 people locked out with over 2,000 empty seats in the stadium as has happened at the KC?

Don't get involved in typo spotting or predictive text errors. Otherwise it may get pointed out that you don't know when to use hyphens amongst your other mistakes.

What makes you think it was Police advice? I'm simply pointing out it's not a City of Culture issue as you seem keen to try to paint.

If you look at the guidance on stadiums, in some circumstances, the Council rep has been flexible in the interpretation of the guidance to enable the club to move some things forward. You're basing much of your comments on 'ideas' of your own invention, seemingly to support this anti-Hull bile you're keen on spouting, rather than finding out the facts.

As for spelling, I find it tedious in the extreme. It's just you make such a giddy dance when you see one, it seems apt to point out you're far from perfect in the hope you stop pointing it out when others do it.

Why not have a dig at your own Council and its many short comings? Why the fixation on one you've chosen to have **** all to do with?

Pete, who is the council representative (and chairman) of the SAG is actually a very reasonable bloke, who tries to be as accommodating as possible with such matters.

Who said it was a City Of Culture issue? It was a reference to the fact Hull is supposedly innovative, pioneering, Gateway To Europe and the City Of Culture but will be disappointment to any visitors expecting the sort of things that are available in other cities, especially visitors from the continent who are used to being able to go out at 10 or 11pm for a meal and then stay out late without having to go into a noisy nightclub or some dive populated by drunken kids. Hull is not alone in this, London must be the only capital city where most bars are shut by midnight.

Maybe he is but the SAG said it wasn't possible to put away fans in the West Upper as they stand up and the West Upper is so steep this could result in a surge forward and people falling into the Lower West. Which suggests some on the SAG are pretty clueless and haven't seen people all around Europe standing up in much steeper sloping stands without any problems.

I've been to loads of places I've enjoyed, and a few that I didn't. Generally, if I don't like a place, I tend not to go back unless I have to and I certainly avoid living in them. I tend not to just try dragging them down at any opportunity, be it real or invented, that'd just be dull and depressing.

A tad radical I know, but it works for me.
