    Hello!

Yes it's me, Paul the Brentford fan that lives in Hull. When I'm not supporting the mighty Bees I'm spending some of my time working for an initiative in Hull called Hull 2020 Champions (www.hull2020champions.org).

You may (or may not) have heard about us on the radio or in the Hull Daily Mail but essentially we're a small but dedicated team that wants to find local people who want to improve life in their community. Our aim is then to help them get started and gather the resources & support they need to make it work for them and others.

Hull 2020 Champions is about engaging with people and inspiring them to do something for their community. So if you think about your life, your street or even the wider area, say Hull as a whole. There is probably something that you can identify as missing. This could be a group of people that you don’t think are properly looked after, i.e. those suffering from food poverty, or it could be a service that you don’t think is being adequately provided i.e. fitness sessions for the disabled or low income.

It’s just an issue that you know is there, but maybe you never thought you could be the one that does something about it.

The Hull 2020 Champions team is there to discuss that with you, make a plan and take it on from there. We can help work out the stepping stones you need to take from here to making that idea a reality.

Projects are put up on our Community Kick-starter where anyone can pledge to support your project, but donating time, skills, materials or anything else you might need! You will also get ongoing support from the Hull 2020 Champions team.

So if you have (or anyone you know has) a great idea but didn't know how or where to start please feel free to get in touch with me on here or email us at [email protected]. We'd be happy to meet at a location convenient to you or to talk over the phone, whatever works best!

    Thanks for reading!

    Paul

I think Hull should legalise cockney hunting within the city boundaries. It'd attract loads of tourism and with it, money.

I'd rather have cattle prods for those who drop litter in the first place.

I can't think of anything specific right now, but I'll give it some thought.

It seems a good scheme, credit to you and all involved. <ok>

It would be a bit miserable hunting cockneys. We should just electrocute them instead. Along with people on benefits.

Maybe giving unemployed people paid employment picking litter would be a better idea?

It's not the people who claim benefits that bother me but the wealthy bankers/politicians/people in authority who are abusing their positions, breaking the law and also ripping us off left right and centre. Those are the ones we should be vilified. *****phile MP's also piss me off. Oh and people who abuse animals. Benefit scroungers come way way down my list.
