I have The Jams 'Pink pop festival' live album and a 7" single by same 'England I miss you now' featuring the Cockney Rejects. Gentleman, start your bidding
I've never really given Van Morrison a listen before (apart from Brown Eyed Girl) but on a recent flight from America his greatest hits was on the in-flight entertainment. I was surprised how many songs I recognised that had been covered by other artists. The one below covered by Dexys and Gloria covered by Patti Smith. Bought the album when I got home!
I remember preordering Ice Cubes "death certificate" at Syd's , and reading that the imported albums were being held at a warehouse down south on their arrival due to controversy of the album content . I got my album n thought no more about it till I later noticed when I saw it in the store at Syd's the album contained a different track and missed two others . I got the original US release , Also with rap back in the day albums would be cheaply rushed out and later re released on parent labels making it all about the small print
You wouldn't know the Regects had anything to do with it on listening. It's also a **** song, which is why it wasn't released. It's a bootleg and it's got The Jam doing James Browns 'I got you' and Stevie Wonders 'Uptight'....all shocking stuff. But although only there was only ever forty-five of them pressed, the best offer I ever got was £50. I had a few copies of 'Record collector' mag, about 30 years ago and the highest offer listed in there was for an Olivia Newton John 12" single. Ten ****ing grand.... I think it was the Sex Pistols 'God save the Queen' single that was highly sought after only a few years ago and a mint copy could fetch £50,000. Now before anyone get's too excited, It only had one side and your's doesn't. I think that's right anyway.
There's a mega rare Olivia Newton John 12" picture disc that was withdrawn because she didn't like the photo, or some such.

I remember becoming aware of a band called Bathtub ****ter once. Thought that was pretty good. Also remember a band called Bumsnogger. Lulz.
New Boots and Panties by Ian Dury and the Blockheads Everbody's Crazy by Michael Bolton(good rock album before he went all loved up) Both in vinyl from a car boot sale. Already have them in CD form. Great albums.
I think the last album I bought would have been an LP as thats all I ever by. It was probably Snoop Doggy Dogg's Doggystyle, although it might have been Against Me!'s Against Me! is Reinventing Axle Rose.
