I've never been to Fort Lauderdale mate, I hear it's a bit quieter though yeah. I have a South African friend who's family own huge mining companies back in his homeland and he's made of money, so I guess the dream is to move in next door to him and raid his fridge for free!
Do you mind me asking why? I think the North East is great and it is my plan to end up retiring there.
I have spent so little of my adult life there. I joined the marines aged 17. Then after that i lived in surrey. Spent 5 years back in sunderland. Now 11 in thaoland. So as you can see. I havnt been there a lot. It holds very little appeal to me to live there again.
I had a South African friend from Johannesburg. She's proper right wing. Since the polish have started moving into the town she's really stepped it up a gear knocking about with nazi's. Her boyfriend is polish skinhead with nazi flag tattooed on his cheekbone. Cany lass really but it's a small town so had to give her a wide birth as she bring so much **** on herself.
Just the time of year mate, I paid £700 for this weekend, but for October I got them for £160. It's crazy the difference like.
i'm off to Cali in October for work. My Sis lives there, 20+ years. i'd love to give it a go for a few years, if the offer came. but it probably won't! Northern Cali would prob be my choice - beaches, moontains etc....love San Fran, not so keen on LA but wouldn't knock it! Love Europe though. a nomadic life would suit me... few months here, few there... just mix it up accordung to the weather/seasons.
To be settled now, and for years to come. Sounds great. Family, friends, grandkids (eventually). I'm 55, and I haven't got a clue where I'll be in 5, 10, 20 years from now. I love not knowing that!
