fa cup final and lots of games for sheff utd then we sold him. that was quite a good loan. Huddersfield played lots of games and now at wolves... after one year... kid of side shuffling there... nothing wrong par se if he's making a good wage and getting singing on fees etc... but RB is right. needs to settle down cos his under age career suggested briefly far more than this. he stagnated IMO for 2 years.. thats the issue to my mind. whereas spearing never was ever thought of as anything coady here was england underage star (in his position) and captain of sides so while he has done better IMO than spearing by far in terms of games played and being first choice for these sides there was a time where he might have been a prem player.
please log in to view this image Sheyi Ojo with his Wolves kit Congratulations to Liverpool youngster Sheyi Ojo. The teenager, while on-loan at Wolves, curled in his first goal for the club last night to hand them a 2-1 League Cup victory over Barnet. By all accounts Ojo was threatening throughout, taking five shots and eventually curling in from 20-yards. Ojo was awarded Man of the Match for his performance
Looks like Harry Wilson has gone to Crewe on loan. Be good to see him step up to senior level and see what he is made of. Hopefully a few more going iut in the coming weeks
Absolytely. Far too much stagnation going on. Think we need to Insert clauses in loan agreements about players coming back if they dont play.
yes. the u21 is a dead end now. the gap between this and real football is just too big even if we make is 18 and 19 year olds v the other teams. sides are very very rarely putting their "star" benchwarmers in to u21 action. You play cheslea and its all kids.. play utd or city and its the same. no 24 year olds no 32 year olds etc. might as well get out there and get going with the career. and if they do ok then they end up being sought by lower league clubs as they've proved themselves
Good news about Wilson. People had/have very high hopes for him and shot into the limelight when got called up for Wales (still think that was silly and out unneeded pressure on the kid though). Hopefully 6 months of first team football will allow him to showcase his talents and develop in same way Ibe did.
Danny Ward (GK on loan at Aberdeen) and Jordan Williams (on loan at Swindon) have both been called up for the Welsh national team. Probably won't play but obviously highly thoight of there. Seems we have a few Welsh you geysers coming through with Wilson as well
Yes there must have been a sniff of England that prompted them to go do that He's very young and doesn't look a big athlete like ibe etc. He looks a kid with his red cheeks... Hopefully this will bring him on. Anything that is above u21 for him is great.
Yes it very much is and great for them as they have waited long enough. Ward... hmmmm don't know... don't think he's going to make it myself. Williams is a bit of a unit at his age. Anyone gone on loan from this age can be considered under active development so we must rate at some level
One of our forgotten men had a good night tonight. Luis Alberto with a goal and assist in Deportivos 3-1 La Liga win
