We are ****house at the back, what happened to the staunch defence of last season? I know we had a lot of 0-0 but this season with the same bunch we are leaking worse then comms tampon..

So it's fair to say a cb is creeping higher on our priority list, it's "insane" that.

What on earth is O'Shea doing for their 3rd?

2nd also. People might cry foul, nonsense he just cant get off the ground. Same on sat when Gomis nearly scored a header if not for a brilliant save.

1st goal Coates lack of awareness.

Larsson and Matthews guilty of giving too much space mmeaning the lad had ages to get his cross in.

Have all the people who said O'Shea was the difference Saturday climbed back under ttheir rocks?

We were solid many times last season because Poyet knew if we ddidn'tplay 10 men behind the ball we'd get Southampton'd a lot.

We kept Swansea down to 1 with a bit of luck but a lot of dedication. Most gave their all. We closed down and harried them. We haven't done this against Leicester Norwich and Exeter and weve conceded 4,3,3.

It doesn'ttake a rrocket scientist to see what our problem is and has been for years.

    Attitude.

My question is, whats changed since arsenal last season? Same core of players. Same set up but we shipping Goals as quickly as comms ball sack is dropping...

In the youtube clips posted above, you watch them and they all can't give a **** really. Standing around, strolling back like its a nice walk in the park. Defoe looked good, lad oozes class. First touch is still as awesome as many years ago. Defence looks slow and shaky... Pants looked shell shocked in goal. Watmore looks lively and hungry. Think Wickham would have chased down that ball and taken it from the keeper? Keeper was ****e anyways, should have kicked to clear it, but the fact Watmore went for it shows Exeter were prob briefed that our players wouldn't even bother. Keeper looked genuinely shocked the ball didn't just roll into his hands.

I dunno what it is about this club, or the players - but the attitude ****in stinks. Teams like Southampton got gutted, yet they still look like a good team, same as Swansea despite having a few managers since Martinez put about their style almost a decade ago. Do we need to clear out the old guard? Get rid of Brown, O Shea, Larsson, Johnson, Catts - while somehow trying to get rid of Graham, Roberge, Mavrias?

I just give in with this team sometimes. But ****, I love the club.

Could we speculate that there was a large financial bonus offered to secure that point?

We need more than that mate, we need new ****ing foundations. Hoping last night sparks Rodwell. Coin a ****ing cliche but he could be as good as a new signing.

Probs revert to ****e like but we can but hope aye?

Well said mate, outgoings in mignolet, hendo, bent and gyan ok! In comings Fletch, Johnno, Rodwell,? Those 3 have been piss poor... Really piss poor.. 12 mil for fetch, 10 mill each for johnno and Rodders...giach 7/8 mill? Graham 5 mill? Defoe? Still searching for a PA? <laugh> Ok so theirs a lot of home grown SAFC fans on here at the moment who contest our current position.. I don't blame them mate.. One 'massive factor' over this week is I've not heard the fact that 'Dick Advoocaat' is upto the challenge!

Mentioned that yesterday, Advocaat's words and body language are hardly gonna inspire the players are they? He needs to be a bit more savvy.

Saying 'We need to be a bit better' sounds better than 'We don't have enough'.

**** me that was brilliant! Every single goal looked like it had come straight off FIFA15, all either lofted through balls or crosses! There was even that one where you bring your keeper out at the corner to try and catch it and don't get there in time <laugh>

I enjoyed your second and 5th goals for different reasons, who was it scoring the 5th?

TBH the old guard being touted as troublemakers and causing issues in the squad has long been the case at Sunderland. The problem is as soon as you start mentioning that players like Cattermole, being part of that old guard, could be the problem people jump down your throat. "Can't sell Catts mate look how he runs rings round Tiote marra, Catts for me like, Catts for England" etc.

Looks like your best player tbh, amazed he's not getting game time. I can't remember if it was this forum or not but about 2 years ago I came on to rave about Watmore after I saw him play right back in a pre season friendly, Bishop Auckland v Sunderland. He was unreal that night.
