Why risk life, limb and sanity any more often than necessary?

That's all incredibly cheap for drinking out. I never drink out in the US. Usually $4 or $5 for a beer here (piss on tap like Bud would be cheaper). And considering you can get lunch for under $6 a lot of places a beer costing almost the same price as a meal is insane.

I never drink alcohol outside the home because I refuse to pay a 400% premium to drink in a bar.

the edelstoff i've been on about, for 2 500ml bottles in a bar i know that sells it, it'll run you near 8 quid.

    It's £1.89 a bottle online or £40 for a crate of 20 bottles (all 500ml)

Mark ups in the industry are scandalous

  18. She would be able to claim the VAT back on the purchase but the customer pays the VAT when buying which she isn't added to the price. Therefore she is only missing the VAT once. VAT is 20%, £9 = £1.80. she is selling them at £9 but having to pay £1.80 to the tax man (if they are going through the books <laugh>)

But yes, it would be more more in terms of opportunity.

ok so i get you... i doubt she knows what vat is :bandit:

but yes opportunity cost is less... I think she assumes they pour it down the drain in the cheese so much that selling a few wholesale keeps them staggering back.

If they don't die overnight of alcohol poisoning.
