It's eminently drinkable AND dirt cheap. Gets this review on Beer Advocate:

A half-inch of head rests on top this toasted orange beer. Webbed lacing adds a little extra texture to the appearance. The aroma is clean, hoppy, bringing pine, orange peel, a fruit salad, and toasted grain to the nose. Equally malty as hoppy, this pale ale hits the spot! The delightful maltiness of caramel makes a good backbone for orange, grapefruit, and cantaloupe flavors to hit. The beer is medium bodied, yet surprisingly rich in flavor. Hop Mountain gets an easy recommendation from this

What a shower of bollocks <laugh>

Yeah I am talking in general terms and will look out for the ones you mentioned.

ASDA doing some French stumpies with a silly long name 5.5 and £2.50 a 4 pack. Pretty good though.

these are the one that are sold in the bar as legal stock right per bottle... just in case she is raided

24 for £9 sounds like knock offs sold under the bar.

anyone who would pay higher for budpuke or worse becks is a fruit.

£9 is what she pays the wholesaler for them, so if you buy a box, it's not-for-profit. It's a quid a bottle in the pub for the same stuff, so she's making decent profit on those.

So you go in and she'll give you whole sale price... does she only give this deal to the absolute alcoholics cos if I got that deal I'd only be seen once per week.

It's pretty much anyone that goes in there (same thing really). I usually have about 4 pints after work and then a couple of cans at home.
